I can't put up with constant disconnects any longer. The game has actually become unplayable. I feel like I should get my money back for HoW. Can't get through a single activity without getting kicked. Doesn't matter if I'm playing solo (which sucks because I can't rejoin on anyone) or in a fireteam. Mostly #baboon and #kingfisher but I've seen a handful of others too. I've followed Bungie's connection guide to a tee. I have top notch internet with blazing fast speeds and reliable connection (130 down, 10 up, 27ms ping, 0% packet loss). Have a brand new router that's fully functional. Ports are open/forwarded, IP is static on the PS4. I've tinkered with every router setting possible. Tried placing ps4 in DMZ. Tried placing it in the "Trusted PC List". Router firewall settings are on minimal. Tried various configurations with UPNP enabled and disabled. Tried both wired connections and wifi connections. For wifi, tried on 2.4gHz band and then a 5gHz band. Tried different channels. Not a single thing improves my experience. I've even called my ISP (Rogers) to see if they could assist. Got put through to one of their networking gurus who logged into my router remotely. Said everything is good and set up for a smooth online gaming experience, specific to the PS4. I've actually tried EVERYTHING at this point. Don't seem to have ANY issues with any other online game.
Don't know what is left to do at this point :(
Bungie, is there anything you can suggest?

Hi Guardian. As a Canadian myself I can tell you "Rogers". Is one of worst ISP providers there are. Rogers has been is still in some areas throttling and shaping network traffic. Use this link: http://www.measurementlab.net/tests To check if they are still doing it to u. You will need a computer to run the tests. One test you will need to run is with destiny running as well. Second, Rogers routers suck! Should you find Rogers is throttling or shaping your traffic, you need to contact them as it is against Federal Law in Canada.

Edited by greenlion157: 6/8/2015 2:34:27 PMDon't worry, the past couple weeks, everyone once in a while it says "attention..... Contacting destiny servers", sometimes I'm in the middle of a nightfall or raid.... Even poe, so I have to log off destiny and restart ):

Played past 4 days multiple hours each day and no issue. Last night i start getting disconnected from fireteam back to orbit every 5 minutes. error message #pineapple This has become extremely discouraging. I only have a my trials team on Monday. Here is monday and i can't make it through a single match without getting the boot and so screws them over as well. Xbox and comcast. Have never had issues before this .

Go to Toms, do some research... Ditch Hitron.

I'm getting the same thing on my Xbox as well. I also have done as you have a tried everything. I have noticed it the most when I am in PvP. I do PvP casually and so when I actually do play I expect a smooth flow in PvP, between the last 24 hrs I have hit baboon like 10-12 times. Has anyone had the same problem with PvP or is it all around experience in the game?

Everything worked fine for me until the Dec update. I followed all of the suggestions too. I basically got a crash course in networking. Finally took my "New" router/modem back to cable co snd requested an older model. I had called Tech support at Oceanic/Time Warner and found out which models they had, then did some research. I did this as a last resort and it worked.

Are you on Comcast? If so, that might be your problem, the servers suck right now, also
-
Having same problem here, getting kicked even before I got a second to play, but it only happens at my house. If I go to someone else's house it works fine even if they have slower internet speed. Makes no sense.

Getting this error code today.
-
yesterday i could play without a problem, today i got baboon 4 times in a row... still trying to hard resett until i can play again. just kills my kd/r in crucible, lol. also i doubt you get any help about this error, looks like bungie themself dont even know what causes this problem. i checked on the internet and it says "bungie will fix this soon" since months.... yeah.

Edited by Canuckles89: 5/23/2015 4:41:22 AMWell, I just played for 5 hours straight tonight. . . Not a single disconnect. Then, starting about 20 minutes ago it just turned into a zoo: #caterpillar, #baboon, #bee, #anteater. . . you name it, I got it. 7 or 8 disconnects in the last 20 minutes. Once again, unplayable.

I am having the same issues on my Xbox, I have had no connection issues until yesterday, and it's only in Destiny I experience anything. Please help Bungie!!! I want to play more of the new DLC but it's becoming a roll of the dice for loot AND connecting to the servers!

Is the 130 down and 10 up what your router is supposed to do or what your PS4 says the connection is?
-
Heya Canuck89, I havent had any of those problems and it seems like it may actually be your network rather than bungie. Sry, it sucks for you.
-
Bump, I have a similar thread about this, no response yet!

Edited by MochaKat: 5/22/2015 7:39:24 PMIgnore my first question, just saw it. And are you using a 2n1/modem router hybrid?
-
New wired modem.
-
Sweet a fellow canuck. Hope you stay a bit longer on destiny.
-
Get a xbox
-
Same here. Fix it Bungie!

Edited by Shadowman006: 5/21/2015 4:06:45 PMAre you by chance using a Rogers rocket modem/gateway? I have Rogers as well and have problems connecting within the game. I have found a packet loss problem between me and bungie on the Rogers network. I have messaged other gamers that have the same issue as us. It may in fact be a problem with Rogers. I just called Rogers again since they have escalated my findings but have not fixed the problem. Cheers

All day yesterday for me it's bs I got one saying I was using a mobile hotspot when I pay for the best and fastest internet in my city

You're not alone, just now I got disconnected 4 times while doing a strike. I get to play about 1 minute or less each time. I'm practically watching my spaceship flying over the moon 90% of the time.
