Why is that depressing? We have the Bible, and it is true that God doesn't talk to anyone anymore because of the presence of His Word and Holy Spirit. Remember when Jesus ascended? What did He say?

he's been trying to talk to you your whole life, but you closed your ears and hardened your heart. He won't stop trying though. Maybe one day you'll hear him before it's too late.
