Faction Equipment Could Use More Purchase Options.
As of today's House of Wolves release, the offerings of the vanguard quartermaster has been reduced to just six weapons. Not even one of each type. Anyone that saved their marks for a new handcannon, shotgun, or rocket launcher, is simply out of luck. On the other hand, there are 24 weapons are available for crucible marks, representing all weapon types, and with the sole exception of pulse rifles provides multiple options for each.
Players able to represent a faction and rank up through PvE content, doing bounties and activities? (most of which were request made by those very NPCs I might add) So why then are they restricted to just crucible marks. This had always been something of an annoyance but now with the PvE purchasing options so limited I think it's vital that they become purchasable with vanguard marks as well.
If that's not feasible or even an option, at the very least, some form of currency exchange should be implemented to replace the pre-Dark Below ability to trade resources for marks. This would at least ease the burden on those that don't want to grind out the whole price at 2-3 marks per match, spending many hours resentfully pushing themselves through content they either weren't in the mood for or aren't particularly fond of because it's simply their only option now. I just think that's a bad situation for all parties involved.
True, ascension is an option, but it's not a solution. I applaud the concept but since it was only announced a few weeks ago, many us weren't able to save our old favorites for from before The Dark Below rolled through and obliterated our arsenals. And from what I understand they don't become able to re-forged afterward, so those of us making the best of it with our current weaponry, there's just no appeal to it.
