Ascendant Shards phased out?
Just looked over the patch notes for the new 1.2 release and it looks like shards are being replaced in favor of motes of light. Why is that? That was one of my primary ways of getting ascendant materials. Is it because you can trade for shards from the speaker? Are the shards being phased out completely?

2 Repliesyea im equally as confused. i have so many things that have one last upgrade and require shards and i tried looking for one of the events that rewards shards and none were listed. note i have not played for quite a while up until yesterday.
