So when i get off work i want to farm like crazy.
Ive been reading people prefer skywatch. And i ask why?
Ive been farming on venus and having 2 events back to back every 6-8 mins seems more profitable as opposed to skywatch having 1 in the same amount of time.
Enlighten me plz.
Edit: i have been enlightened. After 1 event in skywatch ive gotten the chest 6 times.
Seems better than venus so far. Ill farm on venus if my clan wants to farm and we will do that. Otherwise its skywatch ftw.

Skywatch

Anyone up for chest farming add LEWKAS-006
-
Skywatch all day.. Can hit the chest by the cliff 5 times every time and 3-4 for the others
-
I like Venus personally. Ember caves and the citadel are so close and being so close you have time between wolf packs that you can also knock out kill and material search bounties for extra rep

Edited by daynetrain73: 5/19/2015 12:06:08 AMVenus, enter VOG so you can have a 6 man fireteam, go do the farm locations, rotate one player to sit in the Citadel so that one spawns too, you get way more chests that way
-
Everytime I leave the area and come back, the chest is gone. Ive also only gotten a bkue engram and some spinmetal
-
Why not both
-
Did Venus until I had to much boom, most fun I think. Then earth, then moon. Damn it I need wolves on Mars! Lol
-
Skywatch is more productive. Venus is more fun.
-
I prefer Skywatch, so much nostalgia..... All those guardians hanging out there again makes it feel like the loot cave all over again
-
While I was in venus yesterday there must have been 9 other guys on the same map all doing the same thing we was finding the chests in seconds and it was like sparrow racing to get the chest multiple times. It was the most fun iv had on destiny in ages. I wish there was always alot more people on the same maps. Like in Defiance

sky watch

Farmed skywatch all day. No key. Did one on Venus. Got a key first time...
-
I saw guys hittin chests 5 times on Skywatch but I suck at driving my sparrow thru hallways so I was getting 2, 3 if was lucky. Skywatch is faster but I prefer Venus. Switching between Ember Caves and Citadel.
-
I prefer venus. not armies moving against each other, rarely does the public event spawn directly on top of the moving wolves, and there's more room to manauever the sparrow. Also skywatch is one event with maybe one more chest grab. Maybe. I can't really get it 4 times let alone 6. Venus i've been running between events at the citadel and caves without almost any break.
-
Same, I would like atleast 1 key
-
Skywatch. It gets crazy there

Edited by Myzster: 5/18/2015 2:15:51 PMI've gotten 14 keys and I believe Venus is faster if you alternate between areas. Edit: 6 man VoG causes The Citadel area event to not spawn occasionally. Thus, I recommend a 3 man team patrol with as many Gjallarhorns as possible.
-
Raid patrol on venus was the most fun I've had in a while on Destiny. Playing king of the hill while we wait for battle...
-
I just wish there was one on mars.... I need relic Iron.

Skywatch is the quickest and easiest way to farm them up, as the proximity of other areas allows you to open the chest anywhere from 4-6 times. As an added bonus, the target doesn't have a shield so he goes down pretty quickly. Venus is also pretty quick but you can't really open the chest more than two or three times each go at either area.
-
Which location on Venus is faster. Ember caves or the citadel?

Skywatch

Edited by SMASHPASTY: 5/18/2015 2:43:04 PMGet a raid team together and start the VOG. Go to the citadel and do the wolves event then you'll have more people to search for the chest. Send 5 to the ember caves to do the next event, leave 1 behind so that the event timer keeps running at the citadel. Then just rotate who stays behind, remember to leave 1 player at area after the chest disappears so that the event timer keeps running in that area
-
I can get one chest 4-5 times at Skywatch. So that's where I farm.
-
Switch it up. If I stay in one place too long, I'll start getting nothing Head somewhere else and get a leg engram or key within 15mins.. Give it a shot
