How cool would it be if destiny had a weapon that allowed us to debuff an enemy? It's not such an uncommon idea amongst most games anymore and it would greatly improve completion percentages for strikes and raids.
My idea: It would be a charge type Exotic primary that you have the ability to switch between debuffs (much like how you can switch the murmur). it would feature three possible choices: attack(makes enemy deal less damage for a short period of time), defence(enemies take more damage for a short period of time), and speed(enemies move slower for a short period of time).
This weapon would have a tag on it making it ONLY effective on Enemies of the darkness so it doesn't make it's way into PvP thus not upsetting the work in progress of balancing the crucible.

Now i like this idea. What if stacked shots with Necrochasm caused weight of darkness similar to the abyss section of crota's end? Would make an interesting mechanic that's less destructive as Thorn's poison ability. Would make the weapon effective as the enemy is trapped and cannot blink away. But for balancing purposes. The debuff would wear off far more quickly than in the raid.
