[u]Daily Nightfall Story[/u]
Just like it sounds. Same as the Daily Heroic, just with Nightfall grade modifiers on. Open for discussion on rewards structure. I was thinking the rewards system for this would be progressive... For each one you complete within the week, your chance for greater rewards increases with the best rewards reserved for completing all 7 in a week. No chance for making up a missed day.
[u]Daily or Weekly Nightfall Patrol Bounty[/u]
Not exactly like it sounds. It would contain Nightfall grade modifiers, Epic level enemies, burns, etc. Up to a 6-Man Fireteam, matchmaking. The idea behind this is having a more difficult complex, multi-stage bounty to complete, death of entire fireteam resets all progress, but does not KTO immediately, you would choose to repeat or quit. My thought behind this was trying to create a game mode that was a hybrid Strike/Raid, less scripted (meaning its not the same set mission each playthrough), more guided (meaning that you are more informed of the objective) and highly flexible to eliminate the perceived repetition. Any of the terms below in {brackets} could be filled with anything that helps further the mission idea. Feel free to suggest other mission steps. I also thought it would be cool if the Bounty Steps and Nightfall Modifiers were determined by a limited-RNG so you can replay this mode with many possibilities.The limited-RNG algorithm would roll the bounty steps and Nightfall modifiers upon launching the game mode so you never know what you will get. Steps requiring Public Event completion would immediately trigger Public Event when entering the specified area so you don;t have to waste time waiting.
Example of the multi-stage bounty...
Part 1 - Find {NPC in Specific Area} to get mission parameters.
Part 2 - Complete 5 VIP Kill Missions
Part 3 - Kill {Specific Enemy} with {Specific Damage type} to drop {Specific Items} to collect {# of Items}
Part 4 - Search Loot Chests for {Mission specific weapon/item} (Like the Blade of Crota or VoG Relic)
Part 5 - Kill {# of Enemies} with {Mission Specific weapon/item equipped}
Part 6 - Kill {Specific Ultra Enemy}, collect {# of items}, deliver {items} to {NPC in Specific Area}.
Other Bounty Step ideas...
Part # - Survive {# of waves of Specific Enemy} in {Specific Location}
Part # - Eliminate {Specific Major Enemy} in each of {These Specific Locations}
Part # - Complete {Specific Public Event} in {Specific Location} with Gold Tier (Failure re-rolls new event in another location.)
Part # - Activate {# of nodes} within {Specific Time Limit} (Timer starts when first node is activated, divide and conquer)
Part # - Find {#} of Dead Ghosts in {Specific Locations}
Part # - Move {Specific Item} from {Specific Location} to {Specific Location} (Think Capture the Flag)
[u]General Story Mission Nightfall Modifiers[/u]
I think it would add some flexibility and fun to the game if we could repeat Story missions with our own selection of "Nightfall" modifiers for small, but legitimate amounts of Random Materials and XP.
