[b]This post contains some spoilers for The Shadow Thief strike which many youtubers have now been allowed to upload their footage of, if you do not wish to spoil the surprise of playing this strike i highly recommend you don't read ahead, i will also try my best to keep spoilers inside the spoiler tags just in case you read ahead curious anyway.[/b] [b]For those of you are interested in watching Gameplay of the strike, here is a link to Datto playing through it with commentary;[/b] [spoiler][url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl8izZRCVK4[/url][/spoiler] After watching game-play of this strike from the perspective of many YouTubers i feel that there is a few changes that would be awesome if they were somehow implemented or maybe changed in a future patch, obviously i'm dreaming big here as the release for HoW is within a few days nor do i expect developers to change their beautifully constructed strike. [b]What I Love about The Shadow Thief:[/b] [spoiler]- It builds upon what we are already familiar with but executes it perfectly. - Not often does a strike make me feel like what i am doing is actually important, Variks is a brilliant guide through the duration of the strike and dialog. - The music that plays throughout the strike is brilliant especially the build up that plays as you fight Taniks throughout the strike and as you push through the final corridor to the end room. - Exploding Shanks! - The strike also explores and somewhat explains the lore behind fallen houses and the how they are an honor based race. [/spoiler] [b]What I Would Like to see Changed:[/b] This is only a small list of changes but i feel they would make the strike that much better, of course this is down to personal preference and the changes i'm about to suggest may make a few people unhappy in terms of Nightfall or Heroic, so apologies in advance ;) [spoiler]-I know that you wear down Tanik's health throughout the duration of the fight but i feel that the dies too quickly at the final part of the strike and it wastes the lovely soundtrack you designed for the encounter. -[b]This is the big one,[/b] At the end of the mission you give the players access to his scorch cannon and flood the room with fallen, it got me thinking, why not have the final objective for the player to fight their way off the Ketch with near enough endless waves of fallen flooding the chambers and trying to take out the player for eliminating their leader, this would add something we've never seen before to a strike and gives it that feeling of severity and danger.   • Cool idea for a campaign mission - terrible idea for a strike which could be pulled as the Nightfall for the week. Those changes would make it so no one could complete a Nightfall strike. Actually, as is, I'm kinda worried about this strike as a Nightfall activity. The part where you fight a fallen walker in a small room will most likely stop 90% or more of players trying to complete the Nightfall - which is pretty damn crucial now that it has the potential to drop Etheric Light.
