I like to consider myself a fighting game enthusiast. I love playing them. With Killer Instinct on X1 I'm undefeated online (granted I haven't played in a year, still did 100+ matches and never lost).
But Mortal Kombat X. I love the game. Level 40 almost with Black Dragons after hitting 50 in Lin Kuei. I've beat the story, best the klassic tower with every character on medium. So I kinda like to think I can hold my own decently. But as soon as I get online I get stage fright terribly and get really shaky and my mind shuts down. Especially in King of the Hill. So do you guys have any tips other than "git gud lol" to help get over that? Only game this has ever happened with.
Tl;dr
I get nervous playing MKX online and need tips on getting over it.
To be fair; I've though about getting a twitch account and doing it thataway.

Just get used to playing online. 10-20 matches should get you used to it and don't worry about winning or losing.

When you get nervous, just try to focus on your heartbeat. Try and slow it down. Avoid excessive breathing. Try and keep it slow and cool.

Most online players are able to complete hard bro. I would look up some youtube vids on combos, or even check out the test your might site. Practice a bunch of combos for your favourite character until you don't drop them, use online. I wouldn't even bother playing anyone online unless they've a green bar ping as the input lag is awful. Online will never truly test your abilities. LAN tournaments are the only way to truly judge your ability.

so we just rip out your nerves and put them behind you you said to get past your nerves, right?

Unless Ed Boon stops sucking Scorpion's Casual dick i rather play Private KTH matches with friends, go online and beat up a few guys but just letting you know Scorpion is the most Prominent character you'll ever find, -blam!-ing thing won't be nerfed because is so casual any person can earn a good winning streak with it.
