Year 1993...
Okay, just a quick look at this Titan Mark.
Theory:
[spoiler]The year 1993 was the year Pathways into Darkness came out, and I believe 1993 is when the Collapse happened, based on the name.[/spoiler]
Meh... I know it's a little far fetched, but hey. I tried.

On the other hand maybe it's a play off the[url=http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Observer ]mars observer[/url] in which all contact was lost in August 93.... which is also the same month pathways cane out... Let that soak into your conspiracies a minute lol
