This isn't a nerf cry thread just to start off, only suggesting a few ways to tweak how the grenade re-charging works with both chest pieces.
PvP: These two chest pieces need to be tweaked. When you see Sunsingers spamming fusion grenades with Voidfang Vestment, or Blade Dancers just spamming sticky 'nades with Lucky Rasberry, it really ruins the fun in PvP. A simple way to adjust these two pieces is make the grenade recharge specific to their grenades they enhance upon respawning. So if you use a grenade OTHER THAN Axion Bolt or Arc Bolt, your chestpieces won't recharge your grenade energy.
Now for a PvE/PvP buff: This is just so that you don't have to kick the bucket(die) in order to get your grenades back. The death recharge still stays, just so that you can keep the feel of being a grenadier upon respawn.
Since Voidfang Vestment spawns two Axion grenades, if you get a kill it'd recharge 45% of your grenade energy, thus getting two kills would grant 90% recharge. Now if you just get hits, per hit it'll recharge like umm... 20%-25%? I dunno, but somewhere between 20%-25% would be reasonable. For Arc Bolt since it can chain 4 hits, I'd probably go with 10%-15% recharge per hit, and per kill I'd say 22%-23%.
*Scratched* After a suggestion, I scrapped the idea of discipline for both chest pieces.
I'd say these are a few ways to not only balance out PvP, but also to beef up overall usage of the chest pieces between PvE and PvP.

Id say the problem is more the sticky grenades than the chest pieces. They're simply too easy to stick.
-
I played a game of skirmish against 3 warlocks, using these. All they did was stick you with nades or shotgun/melee. It was impossible to kill one without also dying from the grenade stuck to you. A little op, and can definitely be abused on smaller skirmish maps.

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 5/13/2015 3:54:36 PMVoidfang Vestments just shouldn't work for Sunsinger. First of all Void is in its name, second of all Sunsingers spawn with two sticky grenades which is exploitable in PvP and PvE alike. I would suggest changing it to work with Void grenades only or gain an additional Vortex Grenade with Voidwalker. (Voidfang is my most used exotic btw, and I only use it on my Sunsinger. It needs revision.) The Lucky Raspberry is fine as it is. They do not spawn with two sticky grenades.

Asking them to be tweaked to be less useful than they are now is still called a nerf. I say leave them alone
-
If anything, give me an extra arcbolt grenade with Lucky Rasberry
-
So the community has voted to not touch the chest plates so I believe it's time to remove this post.
-
I hate when people try to offer tweaks to other classes to give themselves an advantage. Because we both know that's what this is about.
-
It's worse when they throw an Arcbolt, tag 3 people, shoot them once each with Thorn, and walk away with the triple. It's just really, really cheap. And don't even get me started on Sunsingers that use Voidfang and just throw a sticky grenade whenever they're about to die. It's the scrubbiest set up going.
-
I'd rather they a bit more useful in pve, survival, having to die to get the perk seems bad

Edited by SHTGN: 5/12/2015 3:21:44 PMI agree, those homing stuck grenades are annoying as it is.

I disagree on the last part. Discipline is redundant on those Exotics because grenades return on respawn. They offer diminshing returns if you consistently go positive with long kill streaks; you're better off with Radiant Dance Machines, Claws of Ahamkara, or Starfire Protocol.
