Just want to get everyone's opinion. Figured it would be a good change up from the gjallerhorn, nerf thorn, How, and ama that are all over the forums.
The pats were fined $1,000,000 AND their 2016 first round pick, and a 2017 fourth round pick. And Tom Brady was suspended 4 games.
Edit please post your opinions below
-
Steelers and their rapist QB get a easy opener it looks like.
-
Steelers will win our opener now!
-
I couldn't give a -blam!- less about American football
-
-blam!- the patriots. But I have to say a 4 game suspension and 2 draft picks taken plus a million dollar fine seems a little scape goatish. They won by 38 points, which is a lot of points when you consider they took maybe a half pound of air pressure out. Anyone who thinks the Seahawks deserved the title needs to look at their track record for the last 3 years, they're also a bunch of cheaters, between performance enhancing drugs and Pete carols general bullshit they're just as big of cheaters as the pats.
-
If it was another team or qb, they would have gotten a far worse punishment and the qb would have gotten the Pete Rose treatment.
-
I don't give a -blam!-. Professional sports are retarded
-
Not hardly enough. A $1m fine only sounds like a big amount to those of us who aren't million/billionaires. Google Tom Brady's net worth. Then the Patriots net. That fine is pocket change. Four game suspension is also a joke. They should lose the title, just as the public did to that little league team a few months back.
-
He win the game by 38 -blam!-ing points no ball is going to give him that much of an edge Tom Brady is the goat
-
should have had lynch run the ball
-
should have lost the title and rings.
-
Grammar is kill in title

I feel as though the fact that the report said "probably" "maybe" and other words that don't provide a sense of certainty make the penalty seem like it is too much. If the report was more certain with itself it could be justified. The fact everyone hates the Patriots and that Goodel (?spelling sorry) doesn't wanna seem like a bitch again
Patriots fan, but I know a lot of people who think it was too much
-
i don't appreciate ur sports ball talk

lel
-
Why was he suspended? For that ball deflate scandal?
-
I think he should sacrifice himself and say "eff it. I quit." How would Goodell look at that point?

The low lvl guys following orders to deflate the balls are permanently gone and the guy giving the order gets 4 games. It should be the other way around.
-
Aaron Hernandez got less as his initial punishment from the NFL and he killed three people.
-
He will be suspended and have to spend more time with his hot wife in a big house. She makes more money than him fyi...

I know very little about football, not a fan. However I do know that if you condense a football game down to just the actual on field playing action you can watch a whole football game in about 15 minutes, so 4 games is only about an hr's worth of time. So if you look at it that way it isn't really that long.
-
It's not enough. Goodell, Brady, and Belichick were all around in 2007 when 'spygate' broke (2000-2007 Cheatriots illegal videotaping of opposing teams signals). Everyone seems to have forgotten that this is just one of a handful of Patriots titles that were 'won' while violating NFL fair play rules.

U realize u posted this in off topic right? It's the right section for your particular subject; but your g-horn, thorn, HoW concern was unnecessary. Sorry not being a dick just sayin... Anyways! It's all bullcrap, I dont like the Patriots but come on, we're talkin ball psi...like that really helped them murder the Colts 45-10? That helped their WRs run the correct route with precision and catch the ball, that helped their o-line block, helped their RBs read the hole and run through it? Helped Brady go through his progressions and make the right decision?...no

I'm just commenting so I don't get fined

Edited by ArcTrooper 5555: 5/12/2015 1:21:32 AMStill don't get this whole thing. If it was a close game, it would make sense. But 45-7 seems like it would end that way with or without the balls. I don't blame Brady for laughing about it when he first heard it. Found this article. Says the Patriots are going to attempt to get out of it if possible. Brady was suspended on conjecture, not facts. They will appeal against the suspension at the least, probably the draft picks as well. The fine is one that I agree with. Even if it was just 2 members of the staff involved, the NFL needs to show they still can control the teams, and the Pats need to start making smarter choices with their staff. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/tom-brady-deflate-gate-162121409.html Just read a few more. I'm starting to smell bull: "It is likely that Brady probably had a hand in [the incident]." likely that he probably? That is the least sure answer I have ever heard. That in itself could make an appeal very easy for the Pats.

Brady, the face of the NFL gets 4 games. Goodell suspends HC Payton for a whole year with another player for a whole year. the Saints were found innocent, yet Brady pulls a Lance Armstrong and is guilty.
Joe Montana, greatest of all time. the liars get suspensions like the cheaters and wifebeaters. dont forget a hernandez the former Pat
Too bad the SeaHawks screwed up in the last couple minutes, but it was a close game and I can rest easy knowing the SeaHawks are still an amazing team. As a SeaHawks fan, the Patriots won the super bowl, but on a side note: -blam!- the Patriots!
