New Guardian, does he need the DLC? HoW & DB?
So I've been playing Destiny almost since it came out. My brother has been dead set against it, but I finally convinced him to buy it and play it. But I'm wondering what all he maybe needs. With House of Wolves coming out soon I recommended he buy the HoW DLC expansion. But is it necessary for him to get the old Dark Below Expansion too? I know its not [i]necessary[/i], he just wont be able to do the Crota missions, Will of Crota, or the Raid. Which I don't personally think is a big deal (since nechrocasm is a big pile of shit). He wont really be missing out on anything will he? If I'm forgetting something please let me know.

No, he can get to level 34. But he'll miss Prison of Elders, a Raid, and all the new Exotics.

He should and chances are the dlc will be drooping in price soon. Nightfall and weeklies and dailies will still come from it. I hated not being able to do them because I didn't have the dlc.

Edited by Sonic Roctopus: 5/11/2015 7:30:34 PMHe's gonna have a lot to do with the base game since he's just starting. HoW looks a lot better than Dark below so I would say just buy that. And then later if he wants the other raid you can go get DB. Plus the dlc pvp maps will be free.

2 RepliesHouse of wolves is the priority. If he wants to do the Crota raid then I'd go for the dark below as well, but that is really just a side bonus now.
