Xur should sell Vex Mythoclast !!!

No way. Every raid needs its trophy exotic, and it shouldn't be available anywhere else. VoG has Vex, Crota has Necrochasm, Kings Fall has Touch of Malice. You want them? Run the raid (and in the case of Malice finish the quest also).

4 RepliesThe Vex Mythoclast is not just a toy to be bought from Xür.... It is a trophy earned from killing Atheon in Hard Vault of Glass. There is a reason to why Vex has a solar burn on a primary and Crux makes the arc burn Necrochasm. It don't matter if those weapons are irrelevant to other exotics like the Gjallarhorn or anything else. Those weapons are meant to be trophies that you have successfully defeated such big intimidating bosses... An luckily beaten the games more serious boss the "loot system"... Buying it from Xür is an absolute lazy solution... It's bad enough Xür sells the useful and powerful "Icebreaker".. It is an absolute horrible idea for him to sell the Mythoclast or Necrochasm... Personally I wish they made the Vex and Necro into bounties like the "Queenbreakers Bow, Lord of Wolves and Dregs Promise". I don't give one shit if you don't have those, people work there ass off in this game to get those and they have every right to rep them and use them.... Xür is a lazy solution to this game... It took me many many months to finally get my Vex, I still rep it here and there and I still remember when I got it and who I got it with... It is my trophy...

If you want it, do the raid. I want the gun and Necrochasm as they are the only year 1 exotics I don't have, but I am willing to find a team (when I have time) and do the raids until I get them I'm not going to ask for Xur to sell them and I'm not going to look for just a final check point on the raids either. Either do the grind or accept that you aren't going to get the rewards

No, just best Atheon. If you can't beat VOG hard with a level 34 in under an hour you shouldn't be playing. I still do it a least once a week. It's pretty fun and an excuse to still play with 6 people.

People actually do have to earn that weapon, blood sweat and tears, whether RNG favours them and they get it 1st time or 100th time. All other RNG exotics can come from anything, even a damn legendary engram from a level 3 vandal could pop a gjallehorn. Xur is there to allow players to buy weapons they cannot earn, RNG and loot tables for a specific exotic have such low odds due to the other available rewards and exotics, and with so many alternatives you might never get a particular gun but instead something else. Xur makes these low drop chance guns and armors available for all. (just like why he doesn't sell exotic bounty weapons! because they are earned in a specific manner meaning that they don't have such low odds of being recieved). The Hardmode Aetheon fight has a limited loot table, and so you have much higher chance of getting the Vex when you complete the raid on hard than you would say the odds of getting ice breaker just from playing a nightfall. You are essentially asking to be given something people have worked hard to earn. The out cry already with Xur is high already. This suggestion would be rage quit material.
