Dear Bungie,
I have recently acquired a "Vex Mythoclast", and it is with fair certainty I can say that it is somewhat broken. There are three things that need to be addressed: accuracy, damage, and ammo.
(*EDIT* This is the main issue. The other two problems can be readily disregarded.) First and foremost is the accuracy. Unlike most weapons, the projectiles do not fire in a predictable manner in relation to the reticule. Let me further elaborate. A scout or auto rifle's bullet will typically hit dead center of its aimed-down sight. A hand cannon typically hits just below the sight. The "Mythoclast", however, seems to have a fairly random "radius" around its sight. This means that what would appear to be a clear precision shot actually turns into a gamble. It seems rather ludicrous that the single most technologically advanced gun in the game cannot fire in a straight line.
The second issue is damage. I fully understand this is a touchy issue in itself, but it must be said regardless. The damage itself is not too bad, and still boasts a note-worthy kill time. That said, the damage seems pretty low relative to the gun's high recoil, low magazine, and low reserve ammo. How this is fixed is very well up to debate.
Lastly is ammo. The reserve ammo for the weapon is abysmal. Tying back to the damage, this gun simply eats clean through its reserves and can easily run out without constant refreshment. Even with a "fusion rifle ammo" buff, the reserve still only sits at a petty 207 rounds. That is roughly the same as a scout rifle without any ammo up grades. A few more magazines worth of ammo would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for listening Bungie.
Sincerely,
Sol Ace

Edited by Boom: 5/9/2015 8:00:02 AMHave you upgraded it yet? After you fully upgrade it you can enhance its stability quite a bit. Making it much better. They did fu©k it up with patch 1.1.1 it seems like they tweaked it since then but they never officially said they did. So who knows.

To bad pvp destroys pve weapons. I really like Pvp, but pvp and pve should be deferent parts in the game. I mean buffs here nerfs there, it never ends up well.

Mythoclast accuracy is fine after the recent fix. It's a fusion rifle, meant for close to medium range. That spread is totally negligible in the ranges. If it was pinpoint accurate you could cross map with it (which you can do if you use send it instead of extended mag). In other words, it's totally balanced if you spec the weapon for your desired effective range. Try these out. Aggressive ballistics and extended mag for close range. Smart drift control and extended mag for close medium. Smart drift control and send it for medium medium/long.

Vex is pretty good in pve for me and I find myself running out of ammo for hawkmoon more often than the vex lol

SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION TIME! My idea of how to buff the vex in PvE without changing stats or affecting PvP at all. Make it like Murmur.https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/120562603/0/0

Vex is a a beast in PvP.

My vex is just fine. In pvp!

Edited by Captain Teabags: 5/9/2015 8:29:32 AMBump i suggest using an armor with more fusion rifle ammo and the aim isnt quite as bad as u think. when you have a favorite exotic everything will suck compared to it

Upgrade the weapon. Delete post. Problem solved

Vex is fine. Way to show up months late to the vex threads. It got nerfed before the dark below came out because it was like a one shot killer beeeeast
-
The Vex does not need a buff ffs.
-
You just haven't leveled it up enough, it gets better
-
I now understand why my vex isn't hitting people when I shoot at them.....
-
Vex is a beast. I think its one of the 5 best guns in the game. I see your points but its like complaining about the cup holder in a Lamborghini, the overall function outweighs what you don't like about it 10 fold.
-
I think its fine. In pvp to get kills you have to get headshots and when i do get kills it happens pretty fast. The ammo sucks buts its a secondary class wepon in the primary spot....
-
I honestly don't think the vex needs a buff. I use it everyday for bounties and it feels just right now.

Vex is still a beast. It's great pve and can hold it's own pvp. It's accuracy is bad till you land a couple of shots
