Lol one finger death punch is pretty fun. First time a saw it I didn't really give it much of a chance but the more I played it the funner I found it. The difficulty of blind survival around 500 kills is what I like most I think. Round 750 is my highest so far.
Orion prelude was in my opinion still fun back in its Dino hoard days but definitely had tons of problems making it slightly less fun to play than it should have been. Most recent updates have changed that. Had a 1.4 gb update recently and a couple before that that has definitely improved the gameplay and environments. They've gone from a 35 (if memory serves correct) to a 75 steam rating. Couple days ago there was 78 servers going on. Trek seems to be getting it fixed and updated in the right direction.
If you've played FTL than you'd probably like pixel piracy. I saw a comment that explained it well. FTL mixed with pirates and some Terraria elements. Collect ship parts build your ship how you want it hire crew and plunder enemy ships to collect more parts and gold. Has some elements of an RPG as you upgrade each crewman individually and equip them with certain skills to say keep the ship clean of feces (yes shit will fly in this game since they kick it off the ship) fishing, ship repair, cooking, tons of ranged and melee skills. I've got about 16 hours in so far and have barely scratched the surface of the map. Will take at least 30 minutes to an hour to start figuring the game out and I guarantee any new player will die a few times before getting the hang of it but its definitely a game to check out. Also not sure if it's true but the devs supposedly mentioned anyone who can't afford the game need only ask and they'll give you a free copy. They just want people to play and enjoy the game they've made.
