Fire. Crouch. Reload.
You repeat the mantra in your head, over and over.
Fire. Crouch. Reload.
You weren't prepared for this. No one was. The facility is awash with the weapons fire of those quick enough to grab a rifle...and the screams of those that weren't. Good thing you were quick.
Fire. Crouch. Reload.
They keep coming. Determined, relentless, merciless. Three stepped out of the shadows, their glowing blue blades dripping with the blood of your comrades. You dropped the first two quickly enough, but the third charges through with a savage fanaticism in his eyes. Without hesitation, he leaps over the others' bodies and slashes down in a curved arc. In desperation, you hold your rifle out to brace for the strike. The blade comes down with a tremendous force, strong enough to rattle your bones. The smell of ozone hits you as your arms burn with electricity from the monster's weapon. With that kind of power, your rifle should have been cut in half...and you along with it. But it held. Seizing the opportunity, you twisted the stock upward as the creature's blade slid down the barrel in a shower of sparks. The monster turned to face you as the rest of the rifle's magazine was emptied into his chest.
You moved back to the ammunition crate in the middle of the hallway and topped off your supply. As the shadows begin to move at the end of the corridor, you start firing. The rifle sight is cracked, but the aim is still true.
Fire. Crouch. Reload.
The gunfire has stopped. The screaming has stopped.
Fire. Crouch. Reload.
You are alone.
Fire. Crouch. Reload.
You will die here.
Fire. Crouch. Reload.
But Death is not always the End.
"Is it possible? There you are."

That..... Makes perfect sence! That should be a cutscene.

I'm more interested in why a weapon with a Russian-sounding name found in Russia is based on the AR-15 platform instead of an AKM.

One if the best (if not THE best) Destiny story's I've ever heard props to you

Good story. Please write some more. Plenty of the exotics need some attention.
-
I honestly wish there were more guns like the kvostov ( sorry if I spell it wrong) like honestly it is my fav gun because it looks like a m4 rifle and that's something we can recognize.. They really need new legendaries and exotics that look like real weapons from the 21st century.. Like wouldn't that be awesome to run around with a auto rifle or scout rifle that looks like an ak47 or a m4
-
Awesome post. Khvostov deserves more attention. Its the best gun in Destiny. *winks*

Bump for story telling better than bungie.

Very nice. But if you'll allow me to be an ass.The rifle is found inside the Cosmodrome walls. You died outside, most likely trying to provide cover for the mass of civilians attempting to escape on the colony ships. The rifle is found propped against a pair of barrels which I doubt your guardian would take the time to do while the world is practically ending outside. Most likely, it belonged to a member of Russia's armed forces at the time or the Cosmodrome had it's own security personnel, though the latter is unlikely, given the presence of the abandoned tanks outside. Then again, considering there's no human remains near the rifle to indicate it's previous owner along with how the rifle is neatly placed in an obvious place just for you, i'm willing to bet Bungie just got lazy and said "Screw the story, let's make it a DLC."
Good story though.
someone reply to me for later

Well, this is waaaaay more popular than I thought it would be. I'll try and do a few more over the next couple of days. I'm leaning toward Universal Remote and No Land Beyond (seriously), but I'm open to suggestions.
