I love this gun. That's why I always post about it. Shotgunning suggestions till something sticks. Hopefully one day it will get it's kinks worked out.
Don't know if this is a glitch or an oversight due to how busy Bungie is, but TLW doesn't always register head shots, even when my bead is dead on. "Dead on" meaning the enemy's head has filled the circle and the center red dot that appears is centered on the head. Or when the circle is half on head, half over and it should be precision or miss. Even thought the hip fire never leaves the circle, it's not registering on the enemy that way. A certain distance away and I understand, but not when you're close enough to fill the aiming circle.
Also sometimes a precision hit doesn't register as such. The color is white and it doesn't do full damage, but the enemy dies as if it were a precision shot. (I'm assuming the number that pops up is the enemies actual remaining HP, but I'm guessing). Conversely, sometimes we get the precision bonus while aiming down sights. I'd rather have more reliable hip fire accuracy with this issue adjusted than to leave it.
Lastly, the bonus precision damage seems pointless as it doesn't lessen the number of hits it takes to kill an enemy by any practical amount. Tier one vex, fallen and hive will die with one precision shot ADS or hip fire. And enemies like tier one cabal that take two hits (at least one precision) ADS still take the same when firing from the hip. Majors may take one less shot, I haven't counted, but even so, given the hip fire issues mentioned above, luck in the chamber would be better than the current perk. Literally the only thing about this gun that makes it exotic is the auto fire and the gun twirl, both of which I love. I don't rely on the auto fire, as hand cannons were meant to be precision weapons, but it's great to have when you got no time and you need to drop the knight blocking your escape.
Wish: Hipfire accuracy to be more "forgiving" and for the precision bonus to do as much damage as luck in the chamber. Once again for PvE....and, if at all possible, we'd like a slight reload buff with this wish please.

PVE is not TLW's strong point.

TLW has been my go-to primary for my gunslinger since I got it. I think it's really more or less designed to be used by the gunslinger sub class as the chain of woe and armor hand cannon reload bonuses make it's 8 shot payload perfectly adequate for use in PVE.

I wish it dealt arc damage, and maybe had a better sight.
