Halp.
The version I got was pre-owned, so it didn't have an instruction manual. A list of controls would be nice. Haven't played Dank Souls 1. Dank Souls 2 was the only one at GameStop. Pls help me git gud.
I chose to be a sorcerer btw, and I'm starting to git gud. Also how do you sell stuff I have some junk I would like to get rid of...

I found out the hard way that the ring of binding is absolutely necessary. It's in Heides tower of flame on the left path in a chest. Get it right now if you don't have it yet.

List of controls. A: interact X: Use item B: Dodge Y: 1-hand/2-hand switch (hold for left hand/power stance) RB/LB: Standard attack for right/left hand respectively Melee: A light attack, that usually does less damage than a strong attack, but also takes less stamina. Bow/crossbow: Fire arrow 1/ aim. (note: bows must be 2 handed) To aim with right hand, use LB and vice versa. Staves/Chimes/Flames: Use current spell Shields: Block RT/LT: Context sensitive. Melee: A stronger attack that usually does more damage, but takes more stamina. Occasionally this will instead activate a weapon's special ability. If weapon is in left hand this will often parry instead. Bow/crossbow: Fire arrow 2 Staves/chimes/flames: Weak melee attack Shields: Parry/weak attack. In a rare few cases this will instead activate a shield's special ability. (If you're on Playstation I have no idea)

How to sell stuff; with Gavlan you wheel, you deal.

Edited by FuzzyKittens: 9/7/2015 3:12:31 AMOkay check it out. Heavy armor ultra great sword. Two hand the bitch! Max out str, vit, and vig. Boom become a god!

Edited by M1DN1T3Marauder: 7/24/2015 5:32:43 AMKnight is the easiest in my opinion. Once you get there try out the Hiede Lance, it's an amazing weapon, I also like the bastard sword, not as slow as the normal greatswords but does nice damage, of course, they fit my playstyle but yours may be different. Are you on original or SotFS?
☀️ \[T]/
Master the art of rolling. All dark souls problems are defeated by rolling.

To git gud. Practice a lot, be persistent, and test your luck in PvP. If you can become decent at pvp chances are PvE will hardly be a challenge for you anymore.

Sorcery and hexes Ez mode
-
The B button is all you need.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
The original one or SOTFS? Makes a huge difference in terms of where to get helpful items like the ring of binding
-
sorcerer
You already failed then my friend. That the casuals route and for ever be a dirty hexer. Actually, it's fine. I just h8 the players that when I'm courteous and bow, they start spamming all their Mage shi t like weapon and defense buffs.. Then cast affinity or magi orbs thing right before fight. If cast during fight fine but do you really have to do the orbs before the fight?
10 DEX? WAT R U CASUAL
-
It doesn't come with an instruction manual at all. Has nothing to do with being used.
-
Praise the sun! Also push buttons to do stuff! Don't die because thats not fun!
-
The main thing would be not to listen to anyone in this thread (except for me and the guy who said it's about dying and exploration).

Edited by supermaxload26: 5/16/2015 10:52:15 PMKill the armor merchant IN MAJULA for his gear which is absolutely absurd how much it increases the amount of souls you get from enemies when coupled with the silver snake ring. Also build a build that is right for you.
Also there is no real penalty for killing him other than having to pay some souls to resurrect him and a spot of sin against you.
There is a series on YouTube by bluejellolizard He has 2 playlist you should watch, the first one is Everything possible before a boss (means you'll be OP as hell before you fight your first boss because you'll find all the items and weapons in every area before one) & then everything possible in dark souls 2 which takes place after that series ^ and goes on to show all boss kills and all item locations in the areas not in the above list.

Magic is an easy way to play put does'nt always pay of in pvp or boss fights. You need a backup plan for that, try get some strenght and dex and build a hybrid. It usally pays of and I find it fun to play.
my charater: Full black dragon armor set, Smelter hammer (70 strength but if two handing strength weapons it cost half the strength) sanctum shield (good magic block and can use all magic types exept fire), backup plan is ice rapier (quik and deadly strong attack), pyro flame to get warmth (heal spell) and magic weapon to boost damage vs tough foes or bosses, rings are 3rd dragon ring, soldiers ring, cholmarity(?) and a def ring vs element (depending on the zone or player). Extra weapons are dragon rider halbeard and sanctum crossbow. Make sure u got an arsenal of weapons and test diffrent stratigies depending on your enemy. And good luck
Sorcerer is easy mode but pump at least 25 points in ADP for rolling i-frames. At the start of the game there isn't much spells to choose from so it'll get better along the way.

Sorcerer = ez mode
