Catering to scrubs and introverts. Diminishing the possibilities for new, complex mechanics. Glorified strike.
It's a lazy cop out for programmers who would rather pvp.

It's something different. I'm excited for some change. You have no idea what it's going to be like so why not wait to make an opinion on it? Catering to introverts? As an introvert, I've completed both raids many times and I'm an excellent swordbearer, you know, the role in which you have to talk the most? I can only assume that you mean this will be a game mode in which communication is not an essential component for success? Like a 'glorified' strike? Based on what exactly?
Wait to play it.
I mean, nixing a raid and replacing it with a strike. Assuming that people do not raid because forming a group is difficult - it's not. Assuming a raid isn't a worthwhile investment because only 2.4 million have ever tried it. Bullshit. The raids made this more than just another shooter. It drove investment in characters. A strike does not even come close to a raid; I don't need to wait to play it to know there's a difference or what id rather have.

How do you know there won't be raid like components? Maybe there's a relic? Spires or bridges needing to be formed? Maybe a chalice in one part? I really don't think it'll be as simple as a strike, but who knows.
