If you haven't been flamed on a post about lag or "servers" yet on these forums, then let me briefly remind you that PvP in Destiny is handled on a P2P system with a host-selection system on Bungie's end. Essentially it chooses a player in the match to function as the host, and all other players in that game are subject to communication with that connection.
So that being said, I wouldn't be opposed to a solution where Bungie DRASTICALLY improves their ability to select a proper host, or starts to segregate game selections based on zoning (US East, West, Asia, Europe, etc). While I have no issues with playing games against or with players from around the world, it is not unlikely that this has played into some of the latency issues experienced.
Really though, it would be nice if some of that DLC money or original $500 million budget would have been slated for DEDICATED SERVERS, but I don't think we're going to see that any time soon.
So why do you do this to us Bungie? Don't get me wrong I know you've had a lot on your plate to fix and I've loved the incremental updates and improvements, but as a player who really loves PvP and recognizes that it is clearly a major focus for you, I ask you how do you really ignore the lag issues? Iron Banner only makes it more evident as more players flood into the event, so what's going to happen with Trials? I know a more strict host selection system was briefly mentioned but I think we would all love some reassurance and a more in depth look at that aspect, along with some hope that you can bring that improvement to the rest of PvP as well.

People must love their lag.
