I know this is a bit dumb but when I have 2 soul vessels again I want to try a hex build... Currently a heavy knight build (way diff I kno) but once I am high enough lvl I'd like to try full hex ad miracle build. Waiting until high lvl because I don't trust low lvl hex. Is it strong or worth the vessels? Or should I start a new gave but then it would be harder

I started out with a strength build because I played sorcerer on the PS3 and thought I'd change things up on the PS4. It has definitely improved my play but there are some bosses I want to keep my distance. When I hit 30 strength, I started sinking points into intelligence. I have that up to 50 and going to build up my strength again. Now I feel I'm better prepared for each situation.

Would you say they do colossal dam or weapons dam. I only want to Mage if it means it would increase damage output worthy of the defenses lost

I use great heavy soul arrows and don't really do alot of damage on bosses. I usually do 100 or more damage with the BKGS. I don't use sorcery rings or sorcerer armor, though. I wear the Faraam set.

Edited by ReignofSpartain: 5/6/2015 1:23:07 AMOh I'd go full Mage for the best effect but I doubt it would make huge diff... I thought pyromancy was the easiest way to go so I thought magics could carry a game but seems more like a supplement than a carry:/ I don't think I would ever magi bosses... Just the normals. I couldn't imagine magi doing that well on bosses compared to tanks

On the PS3, I was full mage and did a bit more damage. I put points into strength later just to use the BKGS. If I use soul spear, I do pretty good damage. I don't use it much because I only have 2 without the ring. I just like having heavy armor and shield. Sorcery sucks in the dlc.

Yhea when I went through as tank game got pretty easy after queelag. I never put points into vit because as long as I have enough endurance and dam didn't need vit

What level are you? I would also either do a hex/STR build or a hex/Dex build, because even though spells are nice to have, having a weapon will help you in some situations. Also are you making this build for PVE or PVP?
-
90 pve so kind of hard to be pure hexer? Oh and the weapon I'd probably use is roaring halberd for the dark scale (and I like halberds)
-
Well I wouldn't exactly go pure hex. Check out the soft cap levels for both INT and Faith and scale it from there. I've never tried the roaring halbert, but then again I'm not a huge fan of halberts anyways, I usually make a hex/dex build with a katana. But as for your level, this is my suggestion, make a STR build and use that until you complete the entire game plus the three DLCs. After all of that, you should be in the 180+ level range and then I would use a soul vessel to reallot your points. If you've found all of the soul vessels in the game, you should have like 8 or more by the time you're done, which is plenty to play around with and find how you want to build your character.

Yhea that's pretty much what I was planning. I just wanted to get some opinion so I wouldn't waste 2
