NOTE: I chose this weapons cause they're "easier" to get, you don't need no luck.
Damn, I'm about to embark into some long arse trip to get one of these.
I currently have a Badger CCL, fully unlocked, but I haven't upgraded it cause I wasn't sure about it (I wouldn't care upgrading it, this badboy gets the job done quite well), tho I have to admit that its Upgrades are kinda not-cool compared to other Badgers I've seen.

Edited by Skullstachio: 5/5/2015 11:37:23 AMThose are indeed good weapons, but if you want to get a really good scout rifle, then you will want Gheleons Demise. The one I have has got the Focus Lens FLA5, Rodeo, Flared Magwell & last but not least, third eye. I know for a fact that it is #2 on the top 5 Legendary Scout Rifles on planet destiny but Personally I would make it #1 out of the top five since it can be reforged like all the other Iron Banner weapons.

Saterienne rapier dude. Kicks ass. Will be one of the firs scout rifles to go 365 when HoW comes out

The base stats on the SR and CD are similar, so you should look at the vendor rolls for what suits you. The Crucible version has a pretty nice roll. They are both in the higher rof/lower damage category than the Badger and Gheleon's Demise types. Both types can be good in their own way; I like the high damage ones for things like higher level Hobgoblins where you can shut them down in one shot before they flame shield. I have a CD from a drop with Final Round, High Caliber/Hammer Forged/Armor Piercing, Firefly and it is very good. I don't miss the Sat Rap Outlaw perk that much because it has a pretty good reload out of the box. If I was buy one, though it would be Sat Rap with the roll it has.

Choose Saterienne Rapier, it is preloaded with some of the best PvP properties.

Crypt Dweller

The sateriene any day, the vendor one has amazing perks and its stats make it an all round great gun. It also has very user friendly sites.
-
The crucible vendor rapier has great perks (firefly and something else) and works kinda like a VoC without perfect balance if i remember right. It's pretty great for a scout so id go for that one.

It all depends on your play style. Me I prefer the fast rate of fire scouts, like MIDA and B Line Trauma, for a more aggressive close to mid range play. With the ability for more distance if needed, at the cost of impact damage. Some prefer the slower fire heavy hitters. It is all about what works for you.

I have all three. The badger is best stats wise, mine has explosive rounds on it. The saterine rapier (sorry for spelling) is good for sniping from long distances, but doesn't have much impact. The crypt dweller is a pathetic scout rifle. The only reason I keep mine is because it came with firefly and explosive round. I hope this helped.

Love my crypt dweller, I prefer a higher rof
-
My rapier has firefly and outlaw. Fatebringer in a scout rifle!!
-
I have both. My Dweller roll is so close to the Rapier roll that there isn't much difference. If you are going to buy one get the Rapier. If you have a chance get a Gheleon's. I use it more than any other scout.

The bought version of the Sat Rapier is a really good scout rifle, though the bought Crypt Dweller is crap. Now if you went through the pain of praying to RNGesus, Crypt Dweller is better than Sat Rapier.
