You see a beautiful painting on a wall.
What is the first thing you might ask?
Who painted that?
Why is it that when we see the universe in all its splendor, we do not have the same reaction?
"Wow who made that?"
Science should lead people to seek God, since science is the study of the work of His hands. How can reason guide us from a single painting= skillful artist, to a complex universe=chance?
How can chance which isn't even a substance create an intellectual being that loves, feels, breaths, and lives? Whatever started the universe must be something with the power to create, since nothing cannot gift birth to something, and dumb, powerless eternal blackness cannot create intelligent beings with the capacity to reason. How can we easily believe an artist painted a picture but reject the idea that a spiritual almighty God created the universe in all its glory. As if powerless chance creating the universe made any sense.
I do not speak as one who merely believes in God because others believe. God has made himself known to me. But for those who don't believe, what makes you think that the universe didn't come from an Artist?
I'm sincerely trying to awaken the innate desire in all of us to know the truth, to know our Maker. We are taught in high school to be atheist, we glorify chance as our maker and bask in freedom to do good and evil, knowing that chance is no "thing" and cannot rule over us. Our supposed maker cannot speak or even move a stone. I tell you, seek God. This universe is not a game, the evils in our world should draw us to seek God for direction, we are clearly in need of help. We cannot even stop cancer from coming upon us. God is obviously the only way out of this fallen world we live in and He is our comforter in this world as well. If it's all messed up, He has the answers and even if we cannot understand it all, we can be secure in His hands, knowing that He loves us because He made us and does not want any of us to perish, this is why He calls us to repent from our ways and come to Him.

Maybe because we know for a fact that someone painted the painting? We know that paintings are made by man because we can observe it while it is happening.
