The Future War Cult is said to have obtained a Time Machine which allows them to look into pockets of history. I think Guardians should be allowed to use this. [b]For the sake of story.[/b] - The Tower still has a lot of space for additions. Specifically 'The Cantina' location in The Hangar. - FWC releases their hold on the Time Machine for all Guardians to use. - Specific Grimoire Cards can be inserted into the Time Machine- allowing us to see back in the given time. - This will act as a [b]viewable Grimoire Card[/b]. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ [u]EXAMPLE[/u] 1.) Guardian obtains Grimoire Card that tells about the story of [b]Palamon[/b]. (The Last Word Grimoire) 2.) Guardian arrives at The Tower, and heads down to The Cantina. 3.) Activate the Time Piece which opens up a list of viewable Grimoire Cards. 4.) Choose the new Grimoire Card. 5.) You are given a viewable Grimoire of the story that is depicted on Bungie.net. The Grimoire is now a viewable cinematic. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ There is a lot of amazing lore out there for Destiny, and there aren't a lot of cutscenes in-game at the moment. . . this would add an entirely new piece of cinematic immersion onto the Destiny's plate. - [b]Dead Orbit has a Grimoire that tells of how a fleet was destroyed by The Queen's Guards. This could be a great 3-5 minute cutscene.[/b] - [b]The entirety of Thorn and The Last Word's grimoire would be an absolutely amazing cinematic story to tell.[/b] - [b]We could watch the rise and fall of Eris' fireteam.[/b] - [b]Cayde-6's encounter with the female Fallen.[/b] There are tons of stories out there that are waiting to be told through cinematics. This incorporation would drive players to obtain Grimoire and immerse Guardians even deeper into the Destiny Universe. Of course, there is room for adjustment. It doesn't need to be through the Time Machine- it could simply be utilized through your Ghost as a sort of hologram viewing. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ------------- [b]NOTABLE REVISION[/b] ------ Many Guardians who have sworn their allegiance to the Future War Cult have advised me to not use their Time Machine. It would seem that I'm not as educated on how this machine works- I keep my loyalty with The New Monarchy. Sounds like this Golden Age Technology may not have the power to do such things for us. Some of our minds are incapable of harnessing such power. [u][b]Alternate ways of viewing cinematics include[/b][/u] - [b]Accessing the digital Archives beneath The Speaker's staircase to view Grimoire Cinematics and Grimoire Cards in general.[/b] - [b]Using your Ghost to view the cinematics is also a possibility.[/b]
