So it takes 8 min for light to get from the sun to earth. So we know that light has to travel a distance even though to the human eye we can't tell. Or can we? If I took a giant mirror and put it one light year away, light will take one year to reach the mirror and one year to reflect back. If we had a super powerful telescope we could technically see two years back in Time.

Looking into the depths of the universe, we aren't seeing the present anyway. On a smaller scale, because of the minuscule, otherwise imperceptible time for our neutrons to fire a and stuff like that, we don't live in the present. Everything we see and react to is an instant after it has happened.
