Skull of Dire Ahamkara appreciation thread
See a lot of love for Obsidian Mind and a lot of hate for Skull on these forums, especially for PVP. While OM is my go to exotic for Voildwalker in PVE, I love using Skull in the Crucible. Why?
-more super energy from grenade kills (OM's inverse shadow perk is wasted in PVP)
-tougher while Nova bombing
-Siphon powers increased: if you run the right perk set up, you'll notice a difference to your play style and speed.
Sign if you love using the Skull! :) and if so/not, why?

Love my warlock, main character. For pvp I use the gauntlets, I used to wear voidfang but I now I prefer the claws. For pve, obsidian mind is a must. I hardly use the skull.

3 RepliesPeople who run OM in PVP have no idea what they are doing. I usually use Voidfang vestments though because axion bolt grenades are amazing.

3 RepliesI prefer Voidfang in Crucible - can't beat spawning with grenade energy/carry more ammo for Hand Cannons. Perks on the skull are useful however you can still do just as much damage without it

U can eat golden gun shots and blade dancer slashes during ur nova. Made it well worth it to me.

11 RepliesRegular PvP I rock the Skull being tougher while throwing the bomb is clutch and a stronger energy drain is definitely needed. But for iron banner I usually use sunsinger with the radiant skin perk. With radiant skin I have full confidence running into a titan bubble and just wrecking the titan inside, scorch meele is probably the strongest attack in the game besides supers and shoulder charge. And I usually use voidfang for 2 sticky grenades every life.

1 ReplyI use OM for PvE, Skull or VV for PvP. Vastly underrated exotic. With the right build, you get two thirds of your grenade back as long as you hit something with it.

4 RepliesI prefer using Mind for my play style. I dont think Skull is bad. Just not as good considering that if you play Mind with Bad Juju is a game changer

I have both OM and the Skull. Never leveled my Skull tho because I use voidfangs in PvP.

2 RepliesIt's good for PvP but Voidfang is better. Guaranteed grenade every spawn, and you should be flanking with nova bomb anyways.
