Just wondering if people still play Skyrim... I have recently been getting back into it and was looking for some tips on anything because I'm only like level 28, haha.

No joke, me and my friends have been playing it since it first came out. We still are. Hell, I even got it on PC after I got it on the Xbox just because I knew it would be a blast. We've collected a vast plethora of trivia and tricks about the game over the four/three years it's been out. Guess what? You get to learn some of our secrets too! Here's what I know; Beginning
When you first have to choose who you have to go into Helgen Keep with you are stuck between Ralof and Hadvar. While neither one will effect the plot (at all) each one has their benefits. Ralof (the Stormcloak who has the first lines of dialogue) fights more enemies on the way through the keep, giving you more opportunities to level up your skills at the start. Hadvar (the Imperial who took your name)doesn't fight has many people while traversing through the keep, however, once you get to Riverwood, you will be able to take useful smithing supplies from the forge. Once you leave Helgen, travel straight and slightly to the left, fall off a very small cliff, and you should encounter a bandit camp. Kill the three bandits and one should drop a treasure map, which you MUST read in order for the chest to spawn. Follow the markers on your waypoint-thingy and you should arrive at the three Gaurdian stones (srry desticles, not those kind). If it's your first play through, I would recommend the Warriors Stone because no matter what you say, that's most likely what your going to wind up doing. There's also a bandit infested mine nearby, clear that out and you'll be rewarded with; a pick axe, Smithing skill book, decent lowleveled weapons, iron bars, 3xChest, and some other assorted look you may find. Once you finally do arrive in Riverwood, make sure to sort out the Sven/Faendel situation that's going on. This can get you your very first follower! Also, DONT KILL TE CHICKANS
After Riverwood, I would recommend just barreling through the main story line until you finally learn the entire Unrelenting force shout, or as most people know it, FUS RO DAH! Once you learn Unrelenting Force I would recommend doing some of the various faction quest lines, and seeing how you're most likely a warrior, I would recommend the Companions in Whiterun. Just remember, you can complete every story line in whatever manner you choose, it's just the some methods may make some NPCs mad and make you lose out on some "loot" (leveled amount of gold). Here's a small over view of each faction Companions
The group of fighters in Skyrim. They can provide you with decent armor and weapons at the start, however their real benefit comes from the fact that they make you become a werewolf. Lycanthropy in Skyrim is completely voluntary, random full moon transformations do not occur. If you still don't want to be a werewolf, don't worry you can cure your self later in the story. Probably the biggest payment comers from the axe Wuuthrad, which does extra damage against elves (which will come in handy for Diplomatic Immuntity in the main story line). To join simply talk to the dudes in Whiterun.
Thieves guild
What do you think these people do? These guys can get you a ton of gold, mostly through the vendors you can unlock that will buy practically anything. Not to mention the obscene amount of gold they carry. At the end of the story line you get two objects that will both sell for a lofty amount and some cool light armor as well. To join talk to Brynolf in Riften.
College of Winterhold
The resident mages guild in Skyrim. Something that I find that nice about Skyrim is that for mages with near maxed out skills, there are quest that give you the Master tier spells. Of course, before you can unlock these quest you have to be a member of the College. There are also various members that will sell you spells and apparel that are linked to certain schools of magic. The big payout is a robe that gives you a bunch of cool magic bonuses. To join just simply talk to the chick at the gate and select the proper dialog options.
The Dark Brotherhood
These guys are like the Thieves guild in that they value stealth. However, other methods are completely viable and are even supported too. These are the semi-satanic assassin group in Skyrim. I find this group the most fun personally, as most assassinations you perform often allow multiple avenues of execution. Not to mention the lovable, yet disturbing, characters you meet. The big payout? 20,000 septims. Ballin To join speak to the kid in Windhelm, complete his quest, and sleep in any bed for any amount of time.
Stormcloak/Imperial
The war is fun no matter which side you choose, however, there is some structural damage to cities depending on the side you choose. Whiterun will get f*cked up no matter what. Windhelm gets knocked up if you're an imperial Solitude gets its well knocked over if you choose Stormcloak. Either way, you get a leveled sword/armor and other wise you are forgotten.
However, if you want to break the game just look up "fortify restoration glitch" on YouTube. Feel free to ask question!

Edited by SuccLord Edge: 5/5/2015 6:05:33 AMI will teach you to 100% legit break skyrim. This method gets you the best possible gear in the game. Now, in order to this, You need 100 enchanting, 100 smithing, and 100 alchemy. I would recommend this order: Smithing Enchanting Alchemy My smithing guide:
So first, smithing is based off of the value of items you create. What you're going to want to do is start smithing gold items, and there's a really easy way to do this. First, you need to get a spell called transmute. It's an adept alteration spell, so you might need to level it a little. Also, the more magicka you have, the faster this gets. Transmute is in a bandit camp in the whiterun hold. I forgot which one, but you can look it up. Next thing you need to do is start farming for gold bars and ore, silver bars and ore, and iron ore. Don't grab Iron bars, it's not even worth it. Basically, transmute turns iron ore into silver ore, and silver into gold. You need to go to all of the silver, gold, and Iron mines around Skyrim, and begin to harvest. You should be able to find tutorials for how to do this online, as well. You should be casting transmute while running around these mines and areas to maximize your exp/hour. Once you have as many materials as you can carry, head to your nearest city, and begin to smith it. Look for the most expensive per bar items you can smith. If you have any gems, make sure to put those in too. You can sell these items, though I would recommend to save them for enchanting. Rinse and repeat until 100. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE THE WARRIOR STONE SELECTED. It will greatly improve your exp/hour. Also, if you have the Aetherial crown (probably not) save the lover's stone on it for an extra experience boost.
Enchanting:
So enchanting is fairly straightforward: unless they patched it, Enchanting xp is the same for every item you make. You might want to check that though, because if they did patch it, this enchanting guide is useless. What you want to do is get lots of soul gems.
Non- legit, easy soul gem guide:
This is super easy. What you need to do is get gems from two sources: the college of winterhold and khajit caravans. For the college of winterhold, you can use the platter glitch to phase through walls and get items from the vendor chests. There should be youtube tutorials of how to do this. For the caravans, all of them can be accessed relatively easily. There should be tutorials for this too. Basically, steal all of the gems from the college and all of the caravans, wait two days, and repeat until full.
Legit, but difficult if underlevelled gem guide:
Dwarven ruins. Nearly every dwarven mech in a dwarven ruin is going to have a soul gem in it. Run around through all of the ruins until you have enough gems.

once you have all your gems, start filling them with souls. The size doesn't matter, so I would recommend getting a soul trap bow and hunting deer until you're full. Then, you should still have tons of jewelry from the smithing portion, so just enchant those with anything you want using your soul gems until you're level 100. Also, make sure you have the mage stone selected for this, and to disenchant any gear that you don't have the enchantment for.
Alchemy:
this part is the longest, and the biggest pain in the ass. What you need to do is get three things: Giant's toes, wheat, and creep clusters. There should also be tutorials on this. Just get as many of these as you can, and combine them. Make sure you're wearing any gear you have to increase alchemy, and have the thieve's stone on.
Once you're 100 in all of those, you can use these three to buff each other and get seriously OP gear. There should be tutorials on this too, but I'll try to explain as best as I can.
basically, you need to make potions that buff enchanting, and then use that buff to create gear that buffs alchemy. You can then use the gear to make stronger potions, and then stronger gear. Eventually you'll hit a cap for this, I forgot what it was. Then, you can craft the best alchemy boosting armor possible, and make the best possible fortify smithing and fortify enchanting potions. Once you have these, you can drink your smithing potions, and make armor and weapons that go past the damage/armor cap (basically one hit/ invincible) and then use the enchanting potions to give that gear crazy powerful enchantments. Basically, if you do it right, you will be literally immune to all damage, and have gear so strong that it OHK's nearly everything.
You're welcome.

Edited by Im On Dregs: 5/5/2015 8:03:05 AMDuplication glitch for materials for Max Smithing!: Okay, the easiest thing to do is craft the item in your blacksmith forge that costs the most. For example, flawless diamond necklace.(You can craft this one from lvl 1!) Google where to find flawless diamonds. Same with gold ingots. Obtain them, then follow the duplication steps below: Grab a follower(any will do) and lead them to a open empty space with no glitchy ground. Drop each material one by one(drop it, exit out of menu, go back into menu, drop another ONE material from a stack, rinse and repeat.)Tell your follower to pick up the materials and tell them to wait there. Then fast travel out of the area and then go back there. Take the materials off the floor and then ask to trade things with your follower and they should also have the duplicated materials in their inventory. Take them!Keep doing this until you can create around 200 flawless diamond necklaces. Forge as many as possible, and keep doing this duplication method until lvl 100 smithing! 200 necklaces is about how many to take you from lvl 15 smithing to 100. Oh yeah, this can level your overall lvl as well! Do it in Whiterun at the front gate.
