CoD Haters in a Nutshell
World at War: we want a different cod!
Modern Warfare trilogy: this isn't good, make it different again!
Black Ops 1 and 2: Too different, tone it down.
Ghosts: This wasn't different enough, it sucks!
Advanced Warfare: Too different again, just give us another World at War!
Black Ops 3: DIDN'T YOU HEAR US WE WANT ANOTHER WORLD AT WAR
If World at War 2 comes out: This is lame, we need a cod with a more modern setting.
Tl;dr: CoD haters are never satisfied with anything CoD delivers, no matter what it is.
Edit 1: The amount of both positive and negative reactions to this post has been amazing. Also, I've found one very large and very valid criticism for the CoD games. They need to bring back Deathstreaks. Those were the ultimate solution, a way for good players to enjoy, while the bad players still had their fun. Deathstreaks were, in my humble opinion, the best feature CoD ever implemented. Then again, Exo Suits are my 2nd favorite, so I can understand if you don't agree.

Edit 3: the fact that so many haters have opted to have civil discussion blows my mind. It's so nice to see people talk about what they like and don't like instead of calling eachother kids and using dumb logic.

I'm not a huge fan of FPS games, tried a couple of CoD games but couldn't get into them. I don't hate the series but I wouldn't shed a tear if they cancelled them and never made another. They aren't my cup of tea anyway.

Lets be real here, The Fanbase is mostly cancerous and Ghosts is hands down [b]THE[/b] worst CoD.

They should cater more towards hardcore players, especially during clan wars. MLG ruined it. Would also like map design similar to cod4/WaW.just the right amount of small arena, but also wide and open ones so there's a point to using a sniper rifle. Same with the vehicles WaW had. Also liked the aspect of blowing off limbs/ earning your sniper scopes and noobtubes by using the weapon.

Not that the new games are too different (Ex. AW=Titanfall 2) but they are too similar to other games and not only are they essentially releasing the same thing but that they also copy other games that it's too obvious to deny

1 ReplyWhen did you hear people complaining about MW and MW2?? I mean, aside from spawns in MW, tactical insertion/cheating in MW2, and glitches that could have been fixed, those games were awesome. It was all minor repairs, but never a major overhaul. Sorry, but that part of your post has zero credibility.

I've enjoyed every cod from WAW to BO2 but don't like ghosts and AW much. My favourite is MW2 but I have the most playtime on MW3 because I had a lot of spare time.

I don't do PVP/multiplayer, but I've generally enjoyed the CoD games for the shameless action movie style of the single player campaigns. I wouldn't say they have any more depth than a Michael Bay movie, but they're fun. MW2 was straight up plagiarism of Generation Kill during the Middle East parts, but I'll forgive them. I kinda wish there was a "campaign edition" of the games that cost about $20 or $30 for those of us who have no interest in multiplayer. 5+ years ago it felt like they made a single player game with a multiplayer feature. These days the multiplayer is clearly the emphasis and the single player campaign is just a demo of how to use the new toys in multiplayer. That de-emphasis on the part of the games that I enjoyed has turned me off mor than the settings or stories. That said, I prefer the modern-near future settings more than the historical games. But that's just my personal preference.

11 Replies2 problems i have with this. First you left out how the gameplay has actually gone down in quality over the years (peaking at black ops 1). Two seeing how you love exo suits your just another person who prefers to play a different type of game than the original cods all together. Should have just re-named the game to like idk titanfall or something?!?! Lol But all joking aside call of duty was suppose to be fast game play where you relied on your gun skills not taking advantage of vehicles or cheap bullspit. But that's exactly what is has turned into. I liked call of duty because i could go 32-2 in a team death match unlike halo where getting 20 kills a round was considered good or battlefield where you run around a 3 mile wide map to get sniped by someone or shot by a tank while your in a building and getting 10 kills a match is pure luck. Bring back the small maps and fast gameplay and call of duty shall receive my respect again.

You know since we shouldn't reward people for being shitty lol No exosuits though. Seriously I hate having someone dead to rights then lag comp makes Michael Jordan completely jump over my head without me even seeing it. At least lamp comp in other CoDs didn't have people flying.
