Hi im 13 years old and im from Sweden. I watched some videos about why people think casual gamers feel left out. For me most of the things in those videos were false. Relly my reason that i feel left out is that im simply locked out of the endgame content. Raids and nightfalls require a fireteam to play and in Sweden we havent got a big comunity of raid parties. Especialy for a 13 year old kid. This is very irritating since all raids are impossible to solo. There is a simple solution to this, matchmade raids and nightfalls. Now you are proberly yelling at me that you dont want noobs disturbing you trying to kill Crota. But there is a simple solution to this to, if you are a full fireteam ofcourse nobody can join your game. If you are like four players and still dont want to be disturbed there should be a button above the firerteam "menu". That button will make you able to swith on and off the matchmaking so nobody can disturb you. If you are 2 players who want company playing Crotas end can switch it on so other people can join you. If you are alone you might be matched with other alone players or players who need another person in their fireteam. This way the "pros" dont get disturbed and the people who want company in the raids and nightfalls gets it, win win for all. Please tell me if this is a good idea and if it is help me get it to bungie

While I agree with your point, there is one potential problem with even optional matchmaking. Lag seems to cause most of the raid glitches, and lag seems to increase if players are in different regions of the world. Matchmaking may get you into a raid, but that doesn't guarantee that you will have a good connection or a fun experience. However, I do believe that you should have the option to try the raids.

Short version (which has been my opinion on this for a long time): Put matchmaking on everything, but make it optional.
-
Indeed, it seems everyone in the world understands the simple solution is to add optional matchmaking for every activity in Destiny. We had optional matchmaking for everything in Halo: Reach, so why not here? Good post OP. Thanks for providing a meaningful forum for discussion. Good luck out there.

Optional matchmaking needs to be a thing, but Bungie is lazy.
-
Optional matchmaking would be great but at this game I would settle for an actual in game lfg

Edited by xxDAMRONxx: 4/26/2015 4:19:29 PMI agree with you bud. Having the option to matchmake causes no harm to anyone. While it is better to have a team you know and work well with, it wouldnt hurt anyone to allow solo players a chance to get a team for a raid. With that said, if your on 360 feel free to add me and I can help you with the raids. We have no problems helping some younger players out.

Yes, optional Match Making is going to have to happen or bungie is going to make less and less raids in the future. Most here don't understand that console gamers are by and large... casual. They want to get on, have a bit of fun and get off.
-
No matchmaking ever
-
Shoutout to 13 year olds...this is by far one of the most ineligible posts on here. As for your concern with matchmaking, I think it's a good idea, not sure why it isn't already implemented.

Y twin boys are 11 and we live in the UK I'm pretty sure they would be more than happy to have you join them on weeklys and raids
-
You may be in Sweden and time zone will make teaming up hard, but hit me up. I have a group of friends that like to have fun with raids. If on PS4 look up spleeneater5000. Good luck buddy.

Casual players have a roll wtf? They show up out of the woodwork in patrol to help with events and act as cannon fodder in pvp lol
-
Yeah I can't really find anyone even on lfg, everyone doing CE
-
Played with Brits and Australians as clan members. I live in the middle of the US. Plus there is lfg. Not my fault if your too lazy to find a group, because its no hard.
-
Honestly crota normal is insanely easy to solo I can do it flawless without ghorn

Edited by Shadow_Legion: 4/26/2015 2:37:23 AMGoing to be completely honest I do not take anyone's feedback seriously unless they have their account linked. For all I know you have never even played this game. Also one of the best raiders I ever played with was from Sweden. I'm on the US east coast but we completed something like 30 raids together before he stopped playing. Point is if you really want to raid then you will put in the time get your characters and weapons to raiding capability. Go be social online and find five other people that want to do a raid. It's not hard complex or time consuming. If your level 28 and people don't want to raid with you maybe it's because your level 28 and getting to level 31 with vendor armor is a raiding standard.

13 yeah ...I smell a rat
-
The only reason I don't want match making is so I can avoid playing with annoying tweens.
-
Great idea as long as like you said its optional i love to 3 man crota and dont want to lose that opertunity
-
More than half of the players left on this hamster wheel of a game are casuals. If you need to find a group to raid with, make a post in the group forum or hit the lfg website. Not sure if trolling or just new to the game.
-
I've been saying this for a long time also!
-
your english is so good why don't you use destinyteamfinder.com and link up with american/english/aus players? crucible will suck but pve you could play just fine
