So I'm looking for a job. Mainly for the summer but something I could potentially keep come fall and just work less hours.
I heard about Uber. If you don't know what that is, basically it's a taxi service. People say they need a ride, you get sent there to go get them, you get payed.
I read an article that claims they asked to see some various Uber drivers' hourly pay. They made between $15 and $32 an hour! That's about twice as much or more than I'd make an hour working at my local Park District this summer. I'm seriously debating it.
My car meets the requirements and I'd pass a background check no problem. Clean as a whistle.
Has anyone here had any experiences with Uber or a similar company? Either using them or working for them? I figure it doesn't hurt to do some research before committing to anything!

Great article about this exact question. Net takeaway: it's a pretty decent way to make a living as long as you know what you're getting into. You're not gonna get rich, but you're right that it probably beats working at the local park. Remember that any gas and maintenance for your car is on you.
