To Bungie,
I must of course start out with an "I'm sorry." The last time I wrote on these forums was on a Bungie weekly update, in which I communicated a sense of dismay at how public relations were turning out, and how I had no real hope for true change until the fabled "Comet" expansion. I said Destiny was a game that has great potential but that potential wasn't being used. I thought HoW would be almost exactly like TDB with a few additions or renovations. I told you that I would be leaving until I saw some positive light on the horizon.
Well, all that aside, you seem to have completely flipped a switch. Interactions within the community have increased, the community communication has improved vastly (thanks in no small part to things like the twitch reveals and design walkthroughs,) and now with one big rushing swoop, issues that have been shouted over since launch are being tackled one after another, you have shown, that you aren't going to blindly follow some scheme and "hope for the best" and if something is not working, you have now shown the balls to say, "hey we need to work on this to make it better, let's screw our DLC deadline, and make some real innovative change into the game."
I'm not saying by any means that this is now suddenly going to become the destiny we all wanted/expected at launch, but I must say, by putting off the raid, sitting back, realizing more than just raids and pvp need to be in the endgame environment, understanding that new modes help make things less stagnant, opening up player choice in armor and gear, these are all fantastic baby steps in the right direction. If you take all these little signs of life and put them all together, I can once again say that I see a world where Destiny is that place where there's always something different to do, never be bored, and have the content to satisfy the hungriest mind.
So in short, Good job Bungie. Now that you've flipped the switch, I really hope to see where we go from here, and no sweat on the raid if all this new stuff turns out to be as good as advertised.
P.S. Aside from the "Protect the Wall" mode, we still need more things to do with a clan maybe a 'battlegrounds' type arena?
