Seriously, everybody complaining about the house of wolves and iron banner not being live today needs to end.
Everybody who was complaining was raging about new endgame content, and how raids just weren't enough. On top of that, we had the call of duty players who only play crucible complaining about how nothing is ever done for crucible.
We get new endgame content in the Prison of Elders AND the Trials of Osiris, and it's not good enough.
On top of that, there's a never ending nerf battle.
The last 5 months in the forums;
"Nerf the vex mythoclast."
"NO WHY WOULD YOU NERF IT BUNGIE YOU SUCK"
"Nerf aurorifles"
"NO, BUNGIE YOU DID IT AGAIN I'M SO MAD AT YOU"
"Shotguns are too op, nerf them please"
*nerd comes in the form of ammo limitations*
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT BUNGIE, THIS IS BULLSHIT WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS, NOW I CAN'T USE MY SHOTGUN AS MUCH AS I USED TO".
Fix that conversation for everything they change in this game.
Why is a raid so inportant? Why? Most of you will just complain about how it sucks anyway, and you'll complain about the lack of content, some imagined bugs, some real bugs, and how RNG is crap, and then move back insulting bungie and each other because there's a vicious supremecy between buying guns from Xur and having them randomly drop for you in anything that offers up exotics as rewards.
This community is so torn apart that nobody looks right or wrong. Everybody, myself included just looks like an asshole with no lives. I keep coming onto the forums expecting real input, real reaction, and instead, it's a series of spoiled children, or grown ass men and women complaining like spoiled little children, because their opinion wasn't taken in by bungie.
Fact is, aside from the borderline criminal conduct that happens on this site and it's app, we're supposed to be working together, having productive conversation about the way a game is supposed to go, giving real feedback to a developer that is trying desperately to get out of the shadow of the monster it created more than a decade ago, to show that they still have some fight in them, along with combating a financial force that will only produce content they deem worthy.
This entire game has been an uphill battle for the men and women trying to keep a good name.
I guarantee you that if we were to stop battling between those who have gjallarhorn and those that don't, if we stopped fighting about why one system was better than another, if we stopped complaining about not getting that gun that we wanted, and we all stood up as a single voice, the "atrocities" bungie has committed (so called by most of the people on these forums), then maybe we'd actually start to go somewhere.
I recognize that this post will probably get next recognition, and the recognition I do receive will be from people telling me how wrong I am here, and telling me how bad I am at this game.
That fact aside, take into consideration that we are part of a building process, and this process is on-going, and ever changing, even in the slightest of ways. Regardless if whether or not you want to say it, that fact alone is totally new to us.
Most of us are so used to having a game that's already up and ready, and the production team is already moving onto the next project, that we think that should be the status quo, and this is mold breaking.
Just think before you spread your hatred, because I'm not above any of you, nor are you above me.
Edit; For those of you who have been both thanking me and praising me, thank you for that. I like the fact that there are people who can still think clearly on these forums.
For those who do not fall into my generalozation, I apologize, I do this often.
For those of you telling me that I'm wrong, and that everything is fine the way it is, I suggest you actually read what people have to say. Like I said
Borderline criminal conduct
. If that's alright with you guys, then I don't know what to say.
Edit 2; I wasn't clear enough.
This post isn't to change people. It's to get the like minded people together, a place for a real direction. I'm not trying to be the destiny forums Ghandi, I'm trying to show people that there are other people who think like they do, and that maybe, if those people raise their voices together, that there's a chance positive things could come out of this.
TL;DR: For those of you who think that there is a possibility that bungie are actually listening, start standing together. I'm not going to try and set a trend here, but since there's not much but the silent mass and a lot of complaining, put it out there for everybody, including bungie to see. The more REASONABLE voices we have, the bigger we seem, and the bigger we seem, the more important we look, ergo, bungie may actually listen to the right side of the community.
