I have been playing Scholar of the First Sin, and haven't had any issues at all since i've played Dark Souls a billion times. But now with the amount of freakin enemies added to the Dragon Shrine, i have come to the conclusion that this part is impossible to beat...
Anyone else struggle at this part?

Use magic scrub

Nope. I knew they were not hostile lol. The ancient Dragon took 3 or 4 tries but other than that...
-
No. Black dragons aren't even hostile
-
Lol I beat the game like two days ago, your almost done dude

I finally freakin did it yesterday! I went and leveled up more and grabbed the ring of steel protection +2 and put on the drangleic armor and that helmet you get from the "head" in the misty area. Then i took it extreemmmmeellllyyyyyyy slow and killed every last enemy on that damn shrine. I had no idea that there was a way to make the black dragons not attack me...lol oh well

The Black Dragons aren't hostile to begin with, but they will become hostile if you run past any of the Drakekeepers or the champion on the stairs, attack one of them, or summon Bashful Ray. I think the poison aura from the Moon Butterfly set also makes them hostile. It's quite an easy area if you avoid doing any of those things.

I struggled at first as long as you just run past them all you should be fine might take a few tries, if you step in the ring around the ancient dragon they will eventually turn around

Edited by Kuronak: 4/24/2015 8:02:33 AMThey made dragon shrine exponentially easier. Unless you actually hit the Dragon Knights that bow to you. They're not hostile at all unless you hit them, I'd imagine they attack you if you attack the ancient dragon but idk. The only one that should be hostile is the champion at the top of the staircase.
