Upgrading Exotics AND Legendaries, especially without losing progress. It gives people a reason to go back to the Vault of Glass (not everyone has everything, or they may have sharded things), etc. It also should create a lot more diversity in Guardian appearance. I'm really happy I'll be able to use my VoG Raid Helm for example.
