There is a lot of excitment for the new DLC coming in a month and I am most excited for the trials of osiris. I don't consider myself a great PvP player but I really like it and can usually finish with a positive KD. Most of my crucible time is spent solo playing with Randoms in control matches. I have found I don't do as well playing on teams and I thnk communication is the place I lack. I would like to put together a team that can begin practicing the Skirmish playlists now as it looks like that will be the most like what the trials will be. So I need at least two other guys that can get together and play a few nights a week. The goals would be to work on communication, team work, consistancy and developing strategies for the maps. Since the trials look to have a heavy emphasis on winning to advance these would be likly keys to success. Let me know what your interest is and maybe we can get a few teams together. Or maybe a pool of guys that log in with a focus on practicing Skirmish strategies. I want this to be for all levels of crucible players. even if you have a poor KD now practice and communication can lift that KD up quickly.
Edit: Skirmish not Rumble
Team pool? (Not sure how to organize this)
1. Nolanism - MT
2. Lazarus900
3. Pwstr007 - Central
4. Monark - Eastern
5. Imajortam
6. Jason1298
7. Hyattmarc
8. Jimwillow
9. Deaconblue? (Posted but not sure if you want in)
10. Ravensclaw? (Same)
11. SOULDIER75 - Central
12. BC_416 - Central
13. Knuckle_Nuts
So we have a good group of guys here to practice some until release day. It sounds like some time zones may make things difficult to coordinate between people. Maybe if you guys want to pm me your time zone I can help coordinate some teams getting together a Little easier. I am in the mountain tz, and pwstr and monark are in central. I will add our time zone to our names to make that easily accessible.

I'd like to get in some practice. Can you add me to the list?
-
5-9cdt I need practice, I'll be on this weekend

Skirmish is a different kettle of fish! You need a tight team and game plan; snipers, map control, weapon choice and class all make a difference. If I could snipe worth a damn I'd be more confident but I'm a run in the mix all guns blazing kinda guy. Skirmish you need to play like you're soloing a nightfall, patience, use cover, don't get too close, someone nearby to revive you. If I've got the time I will happily try it out with a team but for the moment I'm going to focus on PoE whilst all the crazy skilled PvPers battle it out.
-
I am down for this as well although...I am not the greatest.
-
I'll play, I'm not that great but I am getting better, hit up Marc the Marcsman! Lol he won the last crucible war.

Bump?

After last nights stent in Skirmish I have come to the conclusion that I am VERY bad at it. If there is anyone that is VERY good at it and is willing to show me the ropes I would appreciate it. Just so you have an idea of just how bad, 10-12 matches and I think I may have been on the winning team once? It was BAD. Way different mechanics than a control match for sure.

Alright Iron Banner is over so it is time to get Skirmish training started. I will be on tonight around 8 or 9 central I want to get a nightfall or two done then finish off the evening with skirmish matches. If you see me on and want to team up send me an invite. If others team up share with us what strategies, load outs you used and anything else that might have been effective.

You can add me to the list. Psn: Knuckle_Nuts

Well I did have a good time last Friday when we hopped into IB after the raid, so I would be up for giving the Trials a shot, provided that someone is willing to put up with my Leeroy Jenkins style of PvP.

Where's coryandsarah on the list? After playing with Iron Banner and him getting a 17-0 unbroken game I want him on my team! It was quite funny we all had a great game, he had a perfect game and we crushed them by 12,000 points. The next match we played against the same team and 4 of them quit immediately. They took one look and thought "F**k this!"

even more keen on this having done some banner. GMT + 11 (yeah shitty I know but what's a Guardian to do?)
-
Hey Nolanism. Maybe if we pick a standard time zone, maybe central and everyone can post their usual play times in that format. Should make it more easily visible who can match up. Central time I usually play 6pm-9pm
-
Oh man I am so excited after watching the stream. This game mode is so intense. Did any one get to see it? What strategies did you see we can utilize?
-
9 CDT(-5 GMT) is the earliest I can get on during the week. Dont want to sound like the world revolves around me but if that is a good start time for others, we can use that as a starting point for a team. And with Iron Banana going on, what better time to start working things out.
-
If y'all still have room for another, I'm interested. During the week I'm on between 6 and 8 central time
-
Looks like I'm a little late to the party, but feel free to add me in if you need more people. Central time zone. Thanks!

I am in the Eastern time zone.

Edited by Nolanism: 4/24/2015 6:55:03 PMI will be on around 6:30-7 my time tonight and can play a few matches before I start raid night with my regular group. I think I have most of you on my list already, so if any one is on and wants to get started feel free to send me an invite. Also I would like to talk about load out strategies and what your guys ideas might be for that. Personally I feel like having one guy with a long range load out and the other two with mid to close range load outs could give a team an advantage with engagements. My thought is a sniper/scout rifle could lay down early fire to reduce shields and then the mid to close range guys could finish off the pre-damaged enemies. This would also keep one team member safer and give them an opportunity to revive (we know this in skirmish but not necessarily trials). This will add additional points and help the team score. Let me know why your thoughts are on this. Maybe I am putting to much thought into it.

I am pretty average at PvP much better in a team. Good Idea I am im.

Edited by ravenssclaw: 4/24/2015 4:48:52 AMThe trials are only gonna be open on weekends

How does Wednesday Night sound? That way Tuesday can be all NF and Weeklies and we can focus more on Crucible stuff the next day. We can call it Wednesday Strike Forces. Why must I name everything SMH... Same Bat time, same Bat channel. Just my two cents worth.
-
If any one else is looking for a skirmish partner I'm looking to find a team for the Trials too
-
I don't do much skirmish but I can generally pull a positive KD on Control. I'd be willing to give it a shot at some point...

Edited by Nolanism: 4/23/2015 2:46:39 AMOkay so I think we have a good start at some teams. Lazarus and imajortm I have sent you friend requests. Five guys is a good pool to draw from at any given time. We got a little bit of info from the twitch stream today, the trials will be a weekend event every week from friday to reset. We know that it will take a coin or somthing like that to get in so we will still need to play regular crucible during the week as well. We might want to do a night of team control to farm coins so we can get in through the weekend. This will get all of us working together as a larger team and maybe keep transitions into samller teams easier. We will find out more details next week so I am really looking forward to that. In the mean time is there a night you guys would want to get together and play some control? We could just start on some basic comms and strategies we could use to cary us into the smaller matches. Friday nights is our raid night for pwstr, monark and I so that probably wont work. I will be on tonight but that is short notice. Maybe next Monday or Tuesday (after nightfalls) evening?

Edited by KPL_BassMan: 4/22/2015 8:06:12 PMI'm keen time zone depending. I really want to be better at pvp and like the team idea. I think mic comms and a team will make a difference.
