Hey everyone,
So I was doing the nightfall and went up to the ketch to snipe the mobs and after the first wave they stopped popping. Long story short, I am pretty sure bungie ninja patched this since they do not want you to camp up there. You can check out the video to learn how to snipe after the patch.
The video is pretty short, under 3 minutes.

Bungie said it was glitch and they're working on a fix at a later date. It wasn't intentional.
-
I'm glad you dorks can't hide and snipe an easy encounter any more. Every time I stay down by the side railings alone. There's enough cover with the sheet metal that's randomly leaning up against the side. Why people need to hide a mile behind is beyond my understanding.
-
JUST GO TO THE CLIFF YOU NOOB.
-
Who cares? You don't even have to stand there to do it.

Edited by MLN_Toad: 5/5/2015 6:06:51 PMNo more solo snipping for you glad they fixed this now you at least have to try to go down and fight
-
Why does everyone need to hide 2 miles away at this part? It's not hard....
-
Stop being a scrub and play closer and u won't ha e that problem
-
Stop camping in orbit coward.
git gud
-
Why do you need to 'learn us' how to snipe? I'm confused...
You can check out the video to learn how to snipe after the patch.
Snipe every enemy but one then drop down to the lower platform and finish him off. Then start wave 2 and repeat.

For people just reading this(living under a rock), Bungie has admitted that this is a GLITCH that they will fix. Probably very soon in the next pre-HoW update. Or maybe it'll take 6 months like other glitches do when they don't benefit the player....(had to, sorry my desticle friends, no offense intended) Anyway, the way we did it last time was the guys sniped from up above and i stayed pretty close to the action towards the ship. Just popping out from behind a rock and watchin the splash damage. No big deal and with all 3 burns the NF is actually much easier than the weekly,IMO. Gjallarhorn will absolutely wreck archon priest! As long as one guy is within radar range, meaning you can see the red on your radar from the enemy, waves will spawn as intended. Homos saying "git gud"? Disregard. VERY thin penises lead to VERY irrational posts that are not helpful nor informative.

I never have camped there....I charge in with ghala and a auto riffle on hand.
-
Two weeks later and we have this exact same strike again. Issue still isn't fixed and in fact bungie said they wouldn't be fixing it.
-
I predict this is to pre-empt the Crota bridge cheese patch which they will inevitably try and fix. If they can get the enemy de spawning done correctly at the ketch, they could theoretically extend the same mechanics to stop people warlock cheesing the bridge on Crota. Makes sense to me. Otherwise why bother changing that part of the strike? It's still easily possible.
-
It's a bug. Bungie is looking into it. They acknowledged it is unintended
-
Its not a bug. Its the loot cove.
-
Just have one person down there as you kill last guy.
-
its a bug they said it wasnt inteded it came up after the update supposedly
-
Apparently they replied to people saying this, they said that any changes to this strike are unintentional and are being looked at. It's not hard to get around it, just snipe all enemies except 1, run down and kill them. That starts the next wave. Run back up to the top and repeat. Easy.
-
I only snipe when it's the nightfall. With solar burn, Axis Hobgoblins kill you in one hit.
-
I ran it six times last night, sniping from atop the rocks (not the ketch) with zero issues. And honestly, it's not that bad to just sit near where the hobs spawn from the cave wave 2.
-
...well I did not know that sniping from a mile away was a cheese....further more this is one of few strikes were sniping from afar seems relevant, since this part was made for sniping...
never have I sniped from the top,I always hide by the cave where the hobgoblins spawn
-
Same happened to me. I went to pride rock and after I sniper the first wave I had to go down and re start the waves again with my ghost, then kill the first wave over.
-
Have i witnessed a new farming location?
-
*sigh, seriously, it's sad to see how many people cheese this strike. And with all burns too! It's so easy, even just two manning it, if you stay by where the hobgoblins spawn in the second wave. And faster! Don't people want to get their rewards faster?

Had a couple people leave the Weekly last night due to this. A lot of people on the subreddit are saying it's intentional, as to stop people hanging back and sniping from the cliff. Have Bungie actually acknowledged this?
