Bungie Incompetence

Whatever batch of trained monkeys you have sticking bananas in the servers for these "updates" need to go. I mean, we're all so indebted to them for the new groundbreaking features, such as wearing your helmet in the tower and purple ball 2.0.. But apparently they can't add cool new elements to the game without completely breaking parts of it that have been fine until now. This week's nightfall, the archon priest, is bugged to the point of not being able to complete it. Tried it 3 times, 3 times the locked gate before the pikes was bugged. Asking to be unlocked multiple times, it proceeds to send waves of vex and fallen but never unlocks completely. Fix your game. You know, the issues that have been making it unplayable since launch? How's that for feedback. Labelling this #cheese, so I know you'll pay attention ;) Edited: I realise this is probably an "anti-cheese" measure implemented in the latest patch. The "fix" is not working as intended and is leaving fireteams stranded in front of a locked door. Feedback from community: Don't push players to play a certain way, then decide you want them playing differently by implementing untested and unexplained barriers. Devs left truly are morons.

  • It's pretty obvious that this is an anti-cheese measure and not a bug. The encounter only resets when you are sniping from miles away. If you actually go down and get in range of the Vex it proceeds normally.

    • I'm hearing that this is a "fix" by Bungie to keep us from sniping on the ledges or the ketch and that you have to stay closer to the ghost to trigger the next wave. If true, this is stupid for a number of reasons. Most notably: you gave us tons of sniper perches. OF COURSE we're going to use them. If you feel that your level design makes the mission to easy, then you need to fix it in a way that won't make players think the game is glitching. This could be accomplished by having the ghost take damage, causing a mission failure if he dies. It A turn back zone is another option. You could also make the enemies smart enough to shoot back at the perches or even to come after guardians up there. There will be players now who avoid this mission because they think it's broken, and that's a worse problem than the perches making it too easy.
