People complain because of what they believe they were promised Destiny [i]would be[/i] instead of appreciating what Destiny [i]is[/i].
I watched one single trailer before release, so I didn't have any meaningful expectations about it. As a result, I really, really love this game. My buddies that bought into all of the hype think it sucks.
I paid $60 and have gotten more than 600 hours of entertainment out of it. That means I've paid approximately 10 cents per hour of entertainment. To put that in perspective, I would have to pay 15 to 20 cents to see a movie, which hasn't happened for decades, and monthly cable costs far more than that.
What I'm getting at is that people should (1) put aside their own pre-conceived notions and (2) remember the [u]value[/u] of this entertainment source.

Agreed. If destiny was never advertised (or no one read it) the game would be amazing. I also didn't know a thing about, besides a few commercials that I saw during football games..and I love the game
