Edited by Allah: 4/17/2015 8:39:22 PMPrompt response for a reprobate. Ad hominems make one look foolish especially when THE VERY DEFINITION YOU POST CONTAINS THE WORD "HUMOR". Your post is not humorous nor is it timely. Satire should be clever, witty, and fresh... Your post is none of these. Next time read the definition before you post it. You're welcome. PS: In case you don't know which part of the definition of reprobate I'm using, it's not being used as a derogatory statement, it's only affixed to state your current placement in the hierarchy of everything, everywhere as its currently seen by your lack of vocabulary. "One who is predestined to damnation".

No, satire doesn't have to be funny, it doesn't have to be timely, it is simply mocking a stance or belief. Here: sat·ire ˈsaˌtī(ə)r/ noun the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. And ad hominem is only a fallacy when it is offered in lieu of a rebuttal.
-
By calling someone a "moron" it begs the question and by definition is an attempt to discredit, then you state your reason or rebuttal which makes it an ad hominem or at least an informal fallacy. It's not necessary to become emotional about how someone perceives your satire as not funny and then mocks this satire with a hashtag. Perhaps you see the irony in being upset about how someone mocks your mockery. I'm actually quite pleased at how oddly funny this has become.

First, it's not even informal, I didn't base my argument on you being a moron, my argument is the same with it without the insult. And no, I don't care that you mock my satire, I care that you said satires have to be funny when, in fact, they do not. Which wasn't even the intent of my posting, I was trying to convey the idiocy of the people who actually believe that you don't work for xur items
-
Your true intent and meaning were completely invisible until now. That's a valid argument.

I'm not at fault for the destiny players' inability to comprehend nuance

Including you

Damnation was autocorrected to domination* thus the edit. I guess it's too strong of a word for this OS.

And yes I realize the definition says humor, but it's in a list of other possible aspects that make something satirical
