I'm not arguing that point. I'm just saying that everyone crying "this isn't technically true satire!" needs to chill out.

And that makes it ok? Let's just change the definition of words because we don't actually mean that but want to use it anyway, sounds like a great idea.

You realize that language is fluid right? Just look at how Merriam Webster recently changed the definition of "literally".

This OP's topic comes across as more surly than satire - as well as most of the threads that (in)correctly use the satire tag or even the sarcasm tag.
