People are upset because they are getting something and they don't know what it is. To try to put it in other terms, They thought they might be getting a Camero , but instead they are getting something entirely new and they have no idea if it's going to be like the Chevy volt or the dodge viper.

While I get what your trying to say with your analogy, I'm not too sure if it's an accurate statement in context, more along the lines that you preordered a camaro, unsure of what the options you're getting are, but find out when your new camaro doesn't have the corvette LT4 engine, you blow a gasket (heh pun unintended, but I like it) because instead you just got the mid entry v6 engine
