"White Nail perk no longer triggers on immune targets"
What does that mean exactly? That now, White Nail won't proc on certain targets? So instead of fixing the gun, they nerfed it? WTF is happening.
-
I don't think that patch worked. I used it on the devil walker earlier and the perk registered even though one of my shots said immune.

Edited by xHySt3rIa v2x: 4/19/2015 6:12:20 PMafter 57 crotas iv finaly got the blackhammer this patch has started on a high for me now gjallahorn next i hope
-
Yup. Can't figure out how to fix the gun to proper working state so they just fixed the cheese Same way they "fixed" the raids originally...
-
Why did they NERF it instead of FIXING in
-
If you are landing three shots on a target that doesn't take damage, then what's the difference?
-
You could shoot at crota or the devil walker (leg broken) and still have the perk activate when seeing "immune". Which is just dumb. So I'm glad they fixed it

Edited by TkoR Demon: 4/15/2015 1:52:31 PMOn something like the walker tank in the Sepiks Prime strike, shooting the legs while they were immune (between the core opening/closing) would still count as a precision hit, thus proc'ing the perk. Hope that was a straightforward, helpful enough example.
-
You know on Cerbaerus Vae? When that huge tanks thrusters get that 30,000dmg shot when it breaks, for about 3 seconds it will be immune
-
I think what everyone's missing is that this perk was designed to proc only when 3 consecutive precision shots are landed. A precision shot is when damage is caused and it appears in yellow indicating that it was a precision shot. Also, landing a shot on an immune target, where the shot produces the immune text to appear instead of damage points, is still landing a shot. The difference is that it causes no damage and therefore should not count as a mulligan or a precision. This perk is definitely situational but it sounds like they've just tried to stop people from taking advantage of the bugs produced by it.

Edited by UltraCon79: 4/15/2015 12:28:36 PMNow you use up ammo dropping shields.
-
Black hammer was broken with the perk already now it's useless You can headshot 3 basic enemies and kill them and it doesn't count. The only way white nail now goes off is if you constantly shoot a major at the same level as you if they're strong enough to withstand it Only good weapons from crotas raid now are over soul edict and word of crota
-
So pretty much they nerfed the gun and now it's shit.
-
Immune hits with yellow splats were procing the perk. I guess they don't want that to happen. And where the FÜCK is my hive disruptor? It's been 3 or 4 months.
-
No. Now it is not broken to where you can refresh your mag for hitting immune targets. Examples like when crota is kneeling, hive knight shields, bosses when they aren't ready to be attacked, tank boss in mars strike when its dying you could land one last hit on one of the crit spots to replenish your ammo. So no, its not nerfed.
-
Why should you have an advantage shooting immune targets? They are immune for a reason. BUNGIE just fixed a bug in the game, adapt, or put the weapon down.
-
Example...on Sepiks Prime mission or Val Tu'arc the Devil and the tank...if you shoot the legs when it's taken the maximum damage allowed, you could continue shooting it creating the precision bonus(activating white nail); therefore, keeping your ammo. While this did no harm to the game, this could've been left alone and perhaps the weapons that could've been retuned as they should, returned to their former glory.
-
The walker in the sepiks strike. People could just shoot the legs while his head was open, and even though it was saying immune, it would still chain ammo. Not do damage, but still chain ammo. They said they fixed this, but it still works. Just did it in the nightfall today
-
For example the Walker in the Nightfall strike. If you used to shoot its leg while its head was exposed it would say immune but the white nail still worked. They fixed that
-
Play the devils lair strike on earth and use black hammer on devil walker legs when it goes down then you'll see how bungie have ruined an already broken gun
