not prepared for these feels.
so my 11 year old dog has been doing nothing but sleeping a lot and for no obvious reason limping around lately. then as of yesterday my dog can't walk anywhere. so i took it to the vet today. they said it was neurological, and that they'd most likely have to put it down in a few days.
i never asked for this.

Hey man, my dog is deteriorating, and I know they will eventually die, so make these last few days or weeks the best you two have had. Invite friends over, and just take them to the park and make some happy memories at the park. My cousin did that for his dog, even baked him a peanut butter cake, so do something special for your dog!

been there with Pip, a jack Russell who I literally grew up with (parents got her just after I was born). she ended up with painful tumours, and had to be put down at the ripe old age of 15 (human years). was really upset to see her go.

I know it maybe is stupid and expensive but when I found out my old golden had bone cancer nearly everyday I'd cook chicken and rice for her dinner. It made me feel good and she loved it. Maybe it's stupid but the fact that I cooked for her and made her last few months happy still makes me smile to think back on

My older dog had a tumor in he upper jaw and it was eating away at her bone. Putting her down was the most merciful thing to do. I had known her since i was born and she would sleep next to my bed when i cried as a baby :'(
