Iv got everything from crota (guns, sparrow, ships)
Some people don't realise that if you do normal first then hard, you get stuff from both. Don't go straight into hard.

You get double rolls doing hard first. So 1 run = 2

You get double the rewards doing hard first, so you don't have to go back and do normal. On everything except exotic chests.

But surely it's better to do them both - shards, energies, guns, armour etc. I did normal and got shit, did hard and got my hunter helm to get him to 32.

SO technically all you need to do is jump in a normal mode crota checkpoint, kill him and get your chance at Black Hammer, LIght in the Abyss, Swordbreaker, etc, and then start a full Hard Mode CE run after killing NM crota. Same thing without running 2 full CE's on every character. Gee big thanks to bungie though, I guess we may as well start doing 2 CE runs on all 3 characters since we have no effing new raid coming until December 2015. Big thanks bunghole! I bet I'll still be around by that time just like most OG players huh?

I've always wondered if the checkpoints improve the percentage chance on drops. Only takes 10-15 minutes to get to crota anyway.
