2 breakfast sandwiches - $8 bucks
Redbull $3.30
Girls coffee $2
Around $4 bucks in gas driving to work.
Before 9 am i spent $17.30 by default. This is automatic. By the days end I'll be minimum $35 in.
Yet people are complaining they got a bare minimum of 50 hours of entertainment (it will be way more) for $15 bucks? You feel you were OWED a raid? No. I'm sorry to break the news to you, but you aren't OWED anything. In the game, or in life.
Take you're imaginary girlfriend to see a movie, two tickets are $25+ all day...for an hour and a half of entertainment
There's a new mode, that every single one of you whining, babbling, cry babies are completely dismissing before you even know what it is. How bout you shut the -blam!- up, man up, grab your balls and stop being such spoiled little self entitled muts to society.
EDIT. Alot of comment are pouring in with people saying things like "if I ordered a steak and potatoes, but got no steak I'd be pissed". Of course I would, because I ORDERED that. Video games are not -blam!-ing made a la carte. They are made by companies, pre determined, and we buy them. We don't customize them before purchase.
EDIT 2. Did anyone stop to think maybe bungie is delaying the raid so people don't jump head first into it, and actually get to enjoy all the new, hard worked content first? Just a thought.
EDIT 3 my favorite one of all. This thread generated a ton of response, way more than I expected. What I like is that the vast majority of the responses are level headed people who agree. There is hope.
FINAL EDIT - I see a lot people turning this into my "spending habits are flawed" if I knew what I was doing with money I wouldn't buy the game type of thread. I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but spending habits and budgeting are RELATIVE to what you earn. Video games like any other leisure are an EARNED RIGHT. I'm 31 now, and from 18 to about 26 I didn't even own a gaming console. Growing up when I lived home with mommy and daddy and did, because it didn't matter. Once I got priorities in order,in put games down for almost 8 years. Now at 31, I've set myself up with a years of hard work that I can sit back and enjoy my leisures comfortably. If i gamed as much in my 20's as I've been in the past 3 months I probably would have lost my job eventually. $30 a day on misc items may be a lot to some people, and I respect that, nor do I look down on you for it. I happen to do well for myself, not because of luck or having things handed to me...but because I busted my ass and made tons of sacrafices. So no, my 20 to 30 bucks daily wasn't the point of this thread. The point was if you had any respect for work, man hours, and a dollar, you'd understand that 15-20 bucks for the content that you're getting is WELL WORTH IT. Don't give "bungie promised me" bs either. Don't be mad at bungie for believing an unofficial leak.

But most movies have a story line

Thanks for enlightening all the stubborn idiots.

OP wins. Flawless Victory.

Bungie never said House of Wolves was going to have a raid. Screenshots about it are LEAKED screen shots and not posted by Bungie themselves. People expected a raid, and I did too. Ultimately, Bungie can do whatever they want with the DLC. In fact, they added 3 quests along with 3 story missions, but no one is even talking about that. Did Bungie say they were going to add a new playlist with The Dark Below( inferno) ? No. They dont promise us things. Thats a bad thing but its also a good thing just the same.
-
Wow I think you taught me a life lesson thank u
-
I could buy a Playstation 1 and 20 games with more story than Destiny DLC for $15.
-
I love when people try to rationalize this stuff by comparing it to completely unrelated items and their subjective worth. I think of it more like this, say I went to McDonalds and bought a $5 meal but if I want extra pickles it'll cost me another $2.50. Sure the DLC isn't that much but given how much the base game was and the content provided, the worth just isn't there, not with Destiny DLC.

2 breakfast sandwhichs? How's obesity working out for ya?

True that

This community has been corrupted by darkness and is going to take more than just the traveler to bring it back to the light. There's really no point in trying to bring it back with just written words.
-
$15 here or $60 on another marketing-fueled disappointment that was produced in generational limbo between consoles.
-
Exactly

Dont try to bring logic to the interwebz. Git gud skrub. #satite

You over paid for your breakfast sandwiches

I have lived by a wonderful motto and ever since then I have never been a baby about something not going the way i thought. "Don't ANTICIPATE... PAR-TI-CI-PATE!" People these days

Worst, most overused defense of this pitiful game
-
in your first edit you spelled a lot wrong and movies are generally about $10-15 a ticket but I definitely agree with this, it theyre a grown up playing they have a job and if theyre a 17 or younger they most likely have their parents buy a lot of their shit
-
I don't think it's about the $15 necessarily I think it's more about the trend in the gaming industry of selling us an incomplete experience for $60 and then drip feeding us the remainder of the content for additional fees The end result is you never really get a complete game and it always feels diluted. Now companies are doing this because the cost of developing these AAA games has become enormous and because of our refusal to up the standard cost of a game from $60 to say $80 or $100 they have to find a way of recouping their investment while still selling the game for $60 I would personally rather get rid of this drip feed model and just pay $80 or $100 up front to these developers who create an entire experience as originally envisioned by the artists. In the end we end up paying the same as now but we would have a completed non diluted experience.
-
It's not the money it's the principle. If I ask you for a dime you would most likely give it to me yet if I take that same dime through deception that would offend most people.
-
I just happy that we will finally be able to land in the reef and it has vendors too . This makes me very happy as it is something I have been asking for since I started playing. Now all we need are space battles so we can really use our ships as part of the game instead of just for loading screens.
-
I'm more concerned about Why there is no raid. They couldn't finish it, it wasn't working or maybe this was planned so we can have time to play others Activision games. I'm looking forward to Prison of Elders, I just don't want to have to play PvP for top level gear.
-
Bungie said they thought long and hard and decided to release the raid later. This seems like they did intend to release a raid for the house of wolves. So...if people are upset, that is their right. PVP terds. Suck it. Horde is for noob scrubs git guuuud
