2 breakfast sandwiches - $8 bucks
Redbull $3.30
Girls coffee $2
Around $4 bucks in gas driving to work.
Before 9 am i spent $17.30 by default. This is automatic. By the days end I'll be minimum $35 in.
Yet people are complaining they got a bare minimum of 50 hours of entertainment (it will be way more) for $15 bucks? You feel you were OWED a raid? No. I'm sorry to break the news to you, but you aren't OWED anything. In the game, or in life.
Take you're imaginary girlfriend to see a movie, two tickets are $25+ all day...for an hour and a half of entertainment
There's a new mode, that every single one of you whining, babbling, cry babies are completely dismissing before you even know what it is. How bout you shut the -blam!- up, man up, grab your balls and stop being such spoiled little self entitled muts to society.
EDIT. Alot of comment are pouring in with people saying things like "if I ordered a steak and potatoes, but got no steak I'd be pissed". Of course I would, because I ORDERED that. Video games are not -blam!-ing made a la carte. They are made by companies, pre determined, and we buy them. We don't customize them before purchase.
EDIT 2. Did anyone stop to think maybe bungie is delaying the raid so people don't jump head first into it, and actually get to enjoy all the new, hard worked content first? Just a thought.
EDIT 3 my favorite one of all. This thread generated a ton of response, way more than I expected. What I like is that the vast majority of the responses are level headed people who agree. There is hope.
FINAL EDIT - I see a lot people turning this into my "spending habits are flawed" if I knew what I was doing with money I wouldn't buy the game type of thread. I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but spending habits and budgeting are RELATIVE to what you earn. Video games like any other leisure are an EARNED RIGHT. I'm 31 now, and from 18 to about 26 I didn't even own a gaming console. Growing up when I lived home with mommy and daddy and did, because it didn't matter. Once I got priorities in order,in put games down for almost 8 years. Now at 31, I've set myself up with a years of hard work that I can sit back and enjoy my leisures comfortably. If i gamed as much in my 20's as I've been in the past 3 months I probably would have lost my job eventually. $30 a day on misc items may be a lot to some people, and I respect that, nor do I look down on you for it. I happen to do well for myself, not because of luck or having things handed to me...but because I busted my ass and made tons of sacrafices. So no, my 20 to 30 bucks daily wasn't the point of this thread. The point was if you had any respect for work, man hours, and a dollar, you'd understand that 15-20 bucks for the content that you're getting is WELL WORTH IT. Don't give "bungie promised me" bs either. Don't be mad at bungie for believing an unofficial leak.

I'm gonna have to suck 3 penises for that $$
-
Spoke the truth there man
-
2 breakfast sandwichs every day? Fatty
-
Lol 2 daily breakfast sandwiches, eating like that it's no wonder you don't mind spending your money. You won't be alive to retire anyways.
-
I'm happy with it. Content is content, just keep it coming and I'll pay.
Pssst. I got the season pass so I don't have to pay until Comet ;D
Glad there are sensible people around in this community. Thank you man.

Edited by TaeKwonSquatchy: 4/19/2015 3:49:21 AMI like comparing money spent on certain activities to help justify spending on entirely unrelated activities. For example; you'll spend 10x the amount of money for HoW for a decent blow job that won't last nearly as long. If you spend at least 20x that much you can be just a screwed, though.
-
Yeah let's put another raid out that the hardcore players will master in a day or two and then listen to the same "this game is falling apart because of the lack of content" complaints they've been getting. At least they are trying something different this time. The new game mode may provide more replay value than a raid. Just wait for more news.
-
You need to calm down
-
Without an ass, how would you poop? :/
-
Honestly, after the Dark Below, I wasn't expecting a raid because Crota's End is horrible....
-
$15 for a DLC would be 25% of the games content. But for the content that you are getting, it is no where near that much. Continue getting ripped off, sheep.

Edited by GemCutter: 4/19/2015 12:59:52 AMWe bought season passes expecting a raid, they implied a raid, that's why they had to announce they decided to REMOVE the raid from the DLC. Bait and switch 101. PSN is giving refunds.
-
You're the problem with games today
-
Hahaha, people act like they're being forced into purchasing the dlc. Don't buy it! I promise not one of us true guardians will care.
-
I bought the game based off of game plays I watched on youtube. Bought the game and a xbone 1 in October last year just for this game. Bought the expansion pass without even looking into what was going to be in the DLCs. I still enjoy the game I don't play as often because I'm waiting for HOW and I found out about warmind and neverwinter. Still have nothing to bitch about. The money I spent on this game isn't even a worry on my radar. I got my monies worth just playing to get to lvl 30 and then 32. I just don't get why a game is such a big deal to everyone. Maybe if I wasn't a 30 year old with a family and nothing better to do I might get butthurt about no raid.

Edited by Reload Theory: 4/19/2015 3:41:26 AMYou have a point on your edit number one, but what they should really be telling you is this The guy at another table (the leaker) told you you would get steak (raid) with your meal (HOW) if you bought it but the restaurant (Bungie) did not say that and YOU got pissed off about it at the restaurant (Bungie). That should sum it up a bit. One more thing, how about a round of applause to those who bought something they barely knew about right? Because why not put your money into the dark and hope for the best right? Edit: Steak not a stake lol

#old news.
-
Couldn't care about the raid, getting one anyway that just doesn't say raid and need 6 people. Hopefully it's some hard thing that we can replay so much as it'll give gear that makes you current HoW max level.
-
It isn't really about the money. It's about the precedents that are being set. Bungie knows that we all expected a raid. They chose not to give us one with the DLC. They now know they can get away with the same thing in the future. They now know that their consumers are apparently fine with getting less/different content. I'm worried about what the future of Destiny holds with these precedents being set.

What I love most about these threads are how the author(s) constantly edit the OP in an attempt to make their argument seem rational in the face of logical opposition backed by fact.
-
This guy has the right idea.
-
Hundreds of thousands of people dying of starvation in the U.S, nobody cares. The new DLC comes without a raid... AND EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MINDS!!!
-
OP wins. Flawless victory.

But most movies have a story line
