2 breakfast sandwiches - $8 bucks
Redbull $3.30
Girls coffee $2
Around $4 bucks in gas driving to work.
Before 9 am i spent $17.30 by default. This is automatic. By the days end I'll be minimum $35 in.
Yet people are complaining they got a bare minimum of 50 hours of entertainment (it will be way more) for $15 bucks? You feel you were OWED a raid? No. I'm sorry to break the news to you, but you aren't OWED anything. In the game, or in life.
Take you're imaginary girlfriend to see a movie, two tickets are $25+ all day...for an hour and a half of entertainment
There's a new mode, that every single one of you whining, babbling, cry babies are completely dismissing before you even know what it is. How bout you shut the -blam!- up, man up, grab your balls and stop being such spoiled little self entitled muts to society.
EDIT. Alot of comment are pouring in with people saying things like "if I ordered a steak and potatoes, but got no steak I'd be pissed". Of course I would, because I ORDERED that. Video games are not -blam!-ing made a la carte. They are made by companies, pre determined, and we buy them. We don't customize them before purchase.
EDIT 2. Did anyone stop to think maybe bungie is delaying the raid so people don't jump head first into it, and actually get to enjoy all the new, hard worked content first? Just a thought.
EDIT 3 my favorite one of all. This thread generated a ton of response, way more than I expected. What I like is that the vast majority of the responses are level headed people who agree. There is hope.
FINAL EDIT - I see a lot people turning this into my "spending habits are flawed" if I knew what I was doing with money I wouldn't buy the game type of thread. I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but spending habits and budgeting are RELATIVE to what you earn. Video games like any other leisure are an EARNED RIGHT. I'm 31 now, and from 18 to about 26 I didn't even own a gaming console. Growing up when I lived home with mommy and daddy and did, because it didn't matter. Once I got priorities in order,in put games down for almost 8 years. Now at 31, I've set myself up with a years of hard work that I can sit back and enjoy my leisures comfortably. If i gamed as much in my 20's as I've been in the past 3 months I probably would have lost my job eventually. $30 a day on misc items may be a lot to some people, and I respect that, nor do I look down on you for it. I happen to do well for myself, not because of luck or having things handed to me...but because I busted my ass and made tons of sacrafices. So no, my 20 to 30 bucks daily wasn't the point of this thread. The point was if you had any respect for work, man hours, and a dollar, you'd understand that 15-20 bucks for the content that you're getting is WELL WORTH IT. Don't give "bungie promised me" bs either. Don't be mad at bungie for believing an unofficial leak.

I totally get why people are mad. I'll reserve my comments until I play it. I'm just surprised that the people say there is serious content issues and it's not worth the money don't just stop playing. Like I said, I'll reserve my comment till after but if it lasts a week then I'll be done. I really don't see the point in getting pissed off like this. But who am I to judge.

You see, comparing games to other objects is like comparing apples to oranges. "Oh dude you played 666 hours, and divide that by $60 gets you 11.1 hours of entertainment per dollar. Dood dats da best deal in da werld". Yea, notice how many games can easily compare, and good games can easily overcome this number. I've been playing skyrim since it released. I've alotted well over 4,000 hours on it. For a measly $60 WITHOUT any dlc. And I've never gotten bored, nor has it gotten repetitive. Destiny has already prolonged it's stage of "fun" and entered the grinding stage. Yea, 666 hours but 80% of that is spent groaning and moaning and praying to satan that you get the gjallahorn. The DLC has barely enough content to be sold at $5, let alone $15. I'd rather get the DLC and 5 days worth of dunkin donuts coffee because it is a more efficient way of spending money. Look at borderlands 2, the headhunter packs are tiny dlc compared to their actual dlc, but they are comparable to the TDB and most likely HoW dlc content wise. Guess what? The headhunter packs were only $2, and they were glitched up or anything. "Oh dood, git a jub. $15 is nuthing". Uh, sure, pal. destiny game ($60) plus (Xbox $60) or (psn $50) plus 2 dlc ($30) and comet (estimated at $60) adds up to $200-$210 per year if they continue this trend. Seeing as how destiny 2 will be next gen, old gen users will have to spend an additional $300 for the console. All for what? Glitchy or delayed raids, sparce amount of strikes, useless story missions with no story, repeated iron banner events, annoying nerfing and buffing of guns, crap exotics (NLB, DB, 4HM, arachnid), everyone being sooo "unique" with the same raid gear, soloable nightfall and heroics. $200 is sure as hell not worth this.

Idk what the point is you're trying to make kid. Is it that hard to realize that other pple feel differently than you? You formed an opinion, I formed one too, the guy who commented before me and the guy after me, they have one too, they may not all be the same as yours but that doesn't make any of them wrong. If it would have had a raid I woulda paid 60 for it, but it doesn't, so I won't buy it. If and when a raid is released I will purchase the developer locked content. DLC. Until then my opinion is this was unacceptable, if there wasn't gonna be a raid they should have addressed it when DeeJ shot down the HoW release banner saying it was out of date. Ff14 a realm reborn is called that because that companies first attempt at that game was much like this one. Difference is they pulled it from shelves and apologized to their community, revamped their game and released something up to par with what we expected. Bungie just force feeds us this crap and lets DeeJ talk about it each week. This is unacceptable.

So true
-
They put their art out there. They don't have to make videogames for you. Most make videogames that they, themselves, would enjoy. That's the bottom line. Now maybe the bigwigs sitting at the Producer's table might have a hand in how you receive the Developers' art.

#massPanicOverFifteenDollars
kek top
Wait... You guys get it for $15? WTF! We have to pay £20 ($29.36)...
-
Seriously people be panicking more than striker titans in PvP
-
That's the attitude of someone who lets people walk all over them. It's not about how much money it's about how shitty this industry is becoming and how much it's become about making money with no concern for fairness to consumers
-
Anybody who is upset should wait until the new content is thoroughly played and reviewed. If it doesn't seem worth it, skip it. P.S. Never buy season passes. Lesson learned.
-
this is quite true... too bad it won't stop people from complaining
it is worse when people complain about free entertainment
-
Hey -blam!- you lol

Still waiting for the day I can feel like a legend in this game.
-
Right suck it up there is still a raid

People just like to cry

This doesn't change a thing. People will continue to complain, and people will continue to either back them or call them out as self-entitled brats. For my own part, the knee-jerk reaction leaves me wondering what they were thinking. After thinking about it a little more, I guess we'll just have to see. There is one very interesting thing about Urk's update though. May 19th is the same day The Witcher 3 comes out. Why would they choose this day?? Are they trying to bury it? Do they not care? I don't get it. I've already seen a few posts about how people will still be playing Destiny, and this coincidence is of no consequence. Grind the same strike for the 1,000th time or dive into one of the best looking, most anticipated games of the year? Whatever floats your boat I guess. The date still bugs me...
-
Completely agree with you. Some people are just whiners and should have been beat a lot more as a kid.
-
I'm sure you make valid points but I couldn't read it after you kept writing $X bucks. Why put the dollar sign if you're going to write bucks. Sorry but it annoyed me.
-
Sadly us British pay ~$32 when you only pay $20 because Bungie don't do conversion rates. That is the only part of the money that I disagree with.

Edited by Crysis_153: 4/14/2015 9:16:52 PMWell said. People also need to understand that there will be a raid coming after.

Somebody gets it. I see you are obviously mature unlike half of the "population" on here.
