Honestly, I feel as if though the Prison of Elders is going to be a breath of fresh air for destiny. The Crota raid was a disappointment and VoG got stale after the first few times. Four alternating arenas with objectives is going to allow for a constantly changing and interesting survival/arena experience. Plus there is going to be some sweet new loot drops and bosses included. It's like a raid that changes every week! Personally I wish it was 6 player survival instead of only 3... But either way I'm exited.

I do wish it included a six man game type but I'm curious what it entails. They are focusing on "variety, replayability, and skill" which is something the forums have been crying a while for. If it means dropping three guys in exchange for a game mode we'll continue to return to, it's worth it. People were obviously upset with how cookie cutter copy of the vanilla game formula that the dark below was so they were willing to take a risk and mix it up a little. It was basically...more grind. Which the vanilla game had plenty of already. Which I take as a bold move by Bungie and give them props. The biggest thing the game lacked was replayability and variety. The prison of elders is possibly a horde mode? Which im alright with. They probably have mechanics to make it similar to a raid. But it is the endgame content so it will likely be some of the best content they've come up with. I hope there is a rich story we all hoped for. Perhaps the reason they made it a three man activity is the difficulty of people being able to find a full raid group? I never had a problem but a lot of people do but they didn't want to add matchmaking because doing anything with randies is the worst. A lot of convoluted thoughts but I'm optimistic. Which is not characteristic of my posts up until now. I've had my fair share of frustration and negativity regarding destiny.
