I will be very very annoyed.
Why you may ask?
I was forced to dismantle The Supremacy, Shadow Price, Grim Citizen, The Devil You Know due to insufficient storage space.
If I can store every item in Skyrim in a bed side locker whats the excuse to having limited Vault space?
-
Shhhh Arena, just think Arena, here have some sand kool aid......arena......

This can be fixed with one simple solution (which boggles my mind why it's not in the game yet): Bring back the old weapons to vendor inventories. Vendors would cycle their inventories; sometimes they'd sell vanilla gear, sometimes TDB gear, sometimes HOW gear. Bungie replaced instead of actually expanding, and it's time to fix that mistake. I wouldn't even mind if they sold the 300dmg versions if we could upgrade them later.
-
Still got my Devil .
-
You...dismantled a Supremacy. What did you place over it in priority?
-
Sounds like a you problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Skyrim has ( insert applicable race) magic and less science Destiny has space magic and hęlla science :.:.:So the canon excuse is you cant break the beckenstien limit
-
Why did you dismantle them, I still have all my prized 300 guns. I only scrap the ones with bad perks.
-
Can you uninstall Destiny and re-install w/o the dlc? Buy old weapons then install the dlc?
-
Bro i agree 100% percent. I miss all my old guns and armor. Oh and i kept everything in a small sack. My game would freeze for maybe 4 seconds every time i opened it lol
-
I used to store my gear in my horse in Oblivion...
-
I'm hoping old gear makes a reappearance on vendors. The old Warlock vanguard gear was epic.
-
Ouch. I refused to part with my Shadow Price and TDYK for this very reason. Hey, maybe Bungie will put them back up for sale once they become upgradeable. As for Vault limitations, I couldn't say for sure without seeing the code, but I suspect it's mostly due to having the Tower loaded in the background taking up RAM. I only played around with Skyrim's mod tools a bit, but basically it loaded the world in small instances and chunks and just showed static images of everything else (so that mountain range up ahead is really just a picture of it until you get close enough for the real thing to load) and most player storage was inside, which means in a much smaller instance. It also froze everything else while you were in storage (a luxury online games don't have). In contrast, Destiny has the whole tower loaded up in RAM at once. The system has to keep track of 16 players, their movements, their equipped gear, your inventory, your items' stats, your vault, all the NPCs, and everything else going on in the tower. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue except that Destiny is already strenuous on older systems for whatever reason (as evidenced by the menu load times). The older systems just don't have the RAM to spare for more vault stuff being displayed.

I sadly had to dismantle several good 300 Attack weapons too. I think the only one I have left is a Dead Orbit Deviant Gravity with Arc Damage, Counter Balance and Field Scout. It's like a Legendary Thunderlord.
-
Because Skyrim is solo and destiny is connecting millions of players, there has to be storage across the servers available for everybody
-
The only weapons that I had from the 300 range that I used regularly were an arc zombie apocalypse and a solar steel Oracle. They were good, I have better now. I am glad about the new upgrade system. Looking forward to bumping up my vault of glass gear =)
-
Always find a way.I have that first weapon you get in the game, along with the strangers rifle.
-
SHOULDA KEPT SHADOW PRICE #BEPREPARED
-
I still have my Supremacy and will never dismantle it. I actually still have a bunch of 300 attack weapons.
-
So you don't want me to upgrade the ones I've saved because you didn't? World doesn't revolve around you buddy
-
the pic for the upcoming upgrading gun paths conversation shows a Fatebringer so I don't think you have to worry about that.
-
I guess my fatebringer and shadow price were a good investment then.

Edited by Corrick II: 4/14/2015 4:36:57 AMI've deleted a ton of good weapons from launch, but I will never delete Shadow Price or Devil you Know. Then again, I treat my characters like extra vault space so I never really had to.
-
See now I wished I hadn't dismantled my shadow price. Oh well at least I have the Vanquisher
-
I still have the VOG weapons and Vog gear on my Hunter and Warlock..didnt have a titan back then and still havent completed it with my red headed step child.... i saved my Devil You Know too just in case they did something like this... i also didnt save all legendary weapons ive gotten...if they had a bad roll they became energies...
-
All I had to do was dismantle redundant legendaries and duplicate exotics. I never had to dismantle anything I was fond of.

Nobody forced you. Unless you're easily manipulated
